A day later, in the Cleis Estate…

A knock from Luna’s door woke her up.

“Young miss, and Master Johannes, I apologize for disturbing your slumbers, but I am here to inform you that Master Kelvin has ordered you to head into the study room after you wake up.”

'Ah. He didn’t return to his room. Of course, they would find out.' Luna scratched her head groggily and replied. “…Yeah, give us time to prepare first.”

“I understand, I must be going.” The butler struts off, his footsteps slowly fading afar. Luna stares blankly around the room. It has a luxurious interior and was larger than her old usual room.

The guest room exudes a sense of elegance and sophistication. The walls are painted in soothing, neutral tones, creating a serene and welcoming environment. A  decorative mirror adds a touch of personality to the space. Soft lighting fixtures, such as bedside lamps or wall sconces, offer an inviting glow.

A comfortable seating area within the guest room provides a private space for relaxation or reading. It includes a plush loveseat, accompanied by a small side table. This corner is designed to offer comfort and solitude, allowing guests to unwind and enjoy their own company.

Everything was squeaky-clean. A plush, queen-size bed adorned with luxurious linens serves as the centerpiece. The bedframe features stylish upholstery,  evoking a feeling of refined opulence. Soft, fluffy pillows and a cozy duvet provide a dreamy atmosphere for a restful night's sleep.

The bed’s position was beside the wide window with cream-colored silk curtains that sways whenever a breeze of wind enters the room.

Even the bed was too comfortable for her, it makes her want to forget about the cruel world and just sleep on the soft bed forever.

But she can’t.

Her eyes then trailed to the sleeping boy—a small guy that doesn't look like his age at all. His face is peacefully angelic and devoid of any grimace, his mouth slightly agape letting out small cute breaths, it was a wonderful sight to witness after you wake up.

She quickly snapped out of her reverie and softly cooed at the asleep little guy to wake him up.

“…Juan, wake up. It’s already morning.”

The little boy frowns and muttered in his sleep. “mm…Evermitch…give me five minutes.”

She immediately pulled her hand off in shock.

‘Ever..mitch…?’

She just shook her head and proceeds to tap his shoulder. “Juan…” The little guy suddenly grimaced and started yelling from his sleep. His tears slowly flowed from his closed eyes.

Her eyes went wide in alarm.

“…No…! Why?! Who did this to you?! Evermitch, please wake up! I’m sorry!! Your brother’s here now…so please wake up…” Johannes sobbed violently in his sleep, Luna quickly shook the little guy to wake him from his nightmare.

“…Juan, you’re just dreaming. Juan.”

He immediately shoots up, his eyes filled with pure grief and uncontrollable tears. She embraced his small figure to console him from his traumatic dream. “Juan, wake up. Mommy’s here, it was just a nightmare.”

“…Mommy?” he mumbled weakly. His eyes went back to its normal state, and he shakily embraced her back. “…I dreamt of a dead and bloody body of a faceless girl in my arms! I was scared!”

Johannes pulled back from her, his eyes slowly brimmed with fresh tears. “It was my fault…that she died.” Her heart got shattered by his words, she could see the deep sorrow and fear in his eyes like it was gnawing him whole.
