Kelvin looks taken aback as he saw his big brother's eyes flowing with tears, looking back at him with a pained expression.

"..I don't know!! How many times do I have to tell you that I couldn't remember anything?!!" Johannes slumps down on the floor, clutching his head helplessly. "I have amnesia!! And you know that! Why couldn't you understand?!"

He looks up at Kelvin in frustration. "And I don't know what you're trying to say!! Because I can't remember anything!! As much as I wanna help you but I can't!! It's impossible!! All I remember is waking up in a strange house, with a woman taking care of me."

"..." His younger brother remained silent, his eyes unreadable. Johannes continued to speak. "But you know what? I never knew that I needed it because she's the only one who made me feel protected, loved. And I just realized it. She's the only one that I found comfort and affection with."

"..Bro-"

"Stop! I don't wanna hear that word ever again." He shoots Kelvin the coldest glare he could muster. Hostility drips in his eyes.

"And don't you dare do something to her that I wouldn't like? Because if you do..." Johannes growls, yanking his little brother's collar against him once again, his expression unrecognizable.

"Hey! What's happening? Stop fighting!" Fraeschean shouts from afar as he rushed towards them, pulling them apart from each other.

"Let go of me!" Johannes spat, furiously yanking his arm away from Fraeschean's hold, and storms off. Walking furiously away from them.

"You'll gonna regret your decisions one day!!" Kelvin yells to Johannes as he fixed his clothes. Fraeschean looks at him in concern and pats his shoulder.

Not long after, Kelvin crumbles down the floor, his eyes flowing with tears. He sobs, gripping Fraeschean's clothes. "He has changed...he's not the same gentle old brother that I used to know...I missed him....and he doesn't know that I'm just doing this for him...It pains me so much...to see him like this...I'm already exhausted...I don't wanna do this anymore!"

Kelvin's blurry eyes stare at the floor with a feeling of deep sorrow in them. His worn-out heart weakly pounded in agony, reminding him of his painful existence."...If Evermitch was still alive...I wonder what she could've done?... Would she understand how I feel...? Nah, I guess not. I feel pathetic right now.."

"Kelvin, don't say that. You are not pathetic. You're just doing what you have to do, and you're just trying to help in a way that you can." He rubs Kelvin's head, making the boy look up at him with a somber expression. "People don't have to acknowledge that, as long as your actions are for a good cause then there's nothing to worry about. You are doing what's best not only for you but also for everyone."

"...You're right. Thank you, Fraeschean." Kelvin sniffles, smiling weakly.

He smiles at the boy softly, offering him a handkerchief. "Anything for my dear cousin. And remember, don't overdo it, okay? I know it might be frustrating but we are not too strong enough to bottle up our feelings... It might ruin you before you even know it."

Kelvin stands up and takes the handkerchief from him and wipes off his tears, along with his lingering pathetic feelings. "No need to remind me. Let's go. I still have a job to do."

....

At the balcony...

"Stupid life, stupid world." He grumbles as he glares at the sky in annoyance, leaning onto the metal rails of the balcony, the cool breeze gently blows on his face. It calms him down a little. He slowly closed his eyes.

("Brother...")

Johannes' eyes shoot open in an instant as if an ice-cold bucket of water had just dumped down on him.
