SHREYA'S POV

As Rohan and I finally reached his home, his supportive arm helping me to walk. Before I could even begin to navigate towards the sofa, Aarna rushed towards me with her wild curls bouncing and her tiny feet pattering against the floor came charging into the room along with keerthi by her side. She skidded to a halt in front of me, her eyes wide with concern as she took in the bandage wrapped around my ankle.

She embraced my legs tightly and looked up at me with big curious eyes, noticing the bandage wrapped around my ankle.

"Mamma, what happened to you?" Aarna's voice was filled with concern as she gazed at the white cloth encircling my injury.

I knelt down to her level, mustering a smile despite the discomfort. "Oh, just a little sprain, darling. Nothing to worry about."

"You okay, mamma? No pain?" she asked, her voice filled with concern.

With a soft chuckle, I nodded. "Yes, my love I'm perfectly fine."

Aarna's concern lingered, evident in the furrow of her brows. "Really Mamma?"

"Well, maybe you could give me some of your magical kisses to make my pain dissapear," I suggested playfully.

Instantly, her eyes lit up with understanding her tiny face breaking into a wide grin. "You want my magical kisses, right mamma?"

I nodded, unable to contain my own smile at her innocence. "Yes, darling could you work your magic for me?"

Without hesitation, Aarna instructed me to sit on the sofa, I complied, watching as she climbed onto the seat beside me,With utmost seriousness she began planting kisses all over my face, each one filled with love and healing energy.

"There, mamma," she declared her eyes sparkling with pride. "I've kissed away all your pain. You'll feel better now."

And in that moment in her embrace, I found solace, comfort, and the strength to face whatever challenges lay ahead. I pulled her close, pressing a tender kiss to her cheek.

"Thank you, my little doctor," I whispered, my voice choked with emotion "Thank you for healing me."

"Awww, come on Aarna," Rohan chimed in, feigning hurt. "All kisses to your mamma only? What about your Boyfriend? I'm feeling left out here."

A smirk danced across my lips and keerthi's as we watched the scene unfold. Aarna, never one to back down, hopped off the sofa with a mischievous glint in her eyes.

"Ofoo boyfriend don't be sad," she retorted "You have Keerthi aunty too, remember? If you're feeling left out, you can always get kisses from her. I've seen you kiss her all the time!"

We all erupted into laughter at Aarna's blunt observation and I couldn't help but shake my head in amusement.

"Aarna, sweetheart," I interjected, "You shouldn't say things like that."I reached out and pulled her closer to me, wrapping an arm around her protectively. She quickly nodded, "Sorry, mamma," she mumbled,  I smiled reassuringly, "It's okay, darling. Just remember to always be kind with your words, alright?"

With a nod of affirmation, Aarna nestled closer to me, the warmth of her presence comforting in more ways than one.

The air was filled with the sound of laughter and the playful banter between Rohan and Aarna seemed never-ending. Their dynamic was like that of two mischievous siblings, constantly teasing and bickering over the smallest of things. Keerthi and I exchanged knowing glances, silently acknowledging that sometimes it felt as though we had two children around us instead of just one.
