"Silver?!" I yelled looking around.

Where did he go? I flew up a little and spotted a dim light.

"Hey! Sil-" I cut my sentence short and seen him sitting down curled up.

"Are you okay?" I asked trying to keep my voice soft.

He sat up and sighed.

"Yea yea I'm good, just a little stressed that's all." He said getting up.

"Well want about you stay with Espio? I knew he'll cheer you up." I said hoping that sounded reasonable.

"I can't, I have to help everyone else with whatever Eggmans doing."

"Yea well..you do you." I told him.

"Yea.. anyways what are you doing back here? "

"Espio told me to come back " I said sounding very proud of myself.

He laughed a little and stood up. "Well c'mon let's get with everyone else."

Me and Silver went over to Sonic and Tails and started getting ready to find Eggman.

"Any sigh of him?" Jet asked messing with his feathers.

"No, not yet. " Rouge said.

"Where's Espio?" Shadow asked.

"Back at my lab, resting. He got hurt pretty bad." Tails added.

I backed away from the upcoming crowd and crossed my arms.

"Charmy?"

Vector..

I turned around with a small smile.

"Vector! What's good?" I said shooting finger pistols at him.

He crossed his arms and raised a brow.

"I'm not even gonna bother." He groaned putting his hand and his face.

I put my head down and got ready to go ahead and head back.

"No no stay, we could use the help."

"Ooh really now? Bet." I chuckled.

"Just stay by me or Silver."

"Yes sir!" I laughed putting my chest up.

Honestly I felt a lot better now due to not getting attacked by Vector. Maybe I can finally prove to him that I'm actually useful.

"Okay I'ma take my crew with me, we're heading to Eggmans base at this point, everyone we checked on is okay, so let's head out " Sonic said before running off.

Knuckles and Tails followed behind.

Shadow,Rouge and Omega were already gone.

Amy and Blaze left so did Wave and Jet. Leaving the three of us.

"Silver you think you could teleport us over there?" Vector asked.

"Yea let's go." Silver replied.

We got to his base and by the time we got there Eggman was almost defeated.

"That was quick.." I told them.

"Yea.. well I don't think they need our help.. wanna head back?" Vector asked.

Before I had the chance to say something Silver was gone. Probably seeing Espio.

With Vector basically saying we could leave, I went to go check on Espio.

"Espio?" I asked walking in.

He was meditating.

He raised a brow with his eyes still closed.

"How ya feeling?" I asked sitting next to him.

He sighed, "I'm fine...just feel pretty useless right now.. I failed."

"What? No Espio your not useless, and you didn't fail anything, it's okay you got hurt." I told him.

He wasn't buying it.

"Your fine." I told him.

We sat there for a bit, I was trying to figure out how to cheer him up.

"Espio?"

"Hm?"

"Stand up." I told him. I put my hand out to help him up.

He grabbed my hand and laughed.

"What do you wan-oh?"

I hugged him putting my head on his chest.

"You have no idea how worried I was, I'm so happy your okay Espio."

He didn't say anything to me but I don't care I was Happy that he's okay.

"I'm not squeezing you to tight?" I laughed backing off.

"Nah your okay..sorry for scaring you like that." He shrugged.

I looked at his cast and laughed.

"No more Ninja time for you." I laughed.

He rolled his eyes."yea sadly, But that means I can spend some time with you." He smiled.

Oh? How do I react to that? God. He's so cute when he does that.

"Me?"

He leaned in closer to me and smirked.

"Yep, your my best friend after all."

Before I could respond or even react, the door opened.

Interrupted AGAIN..

"AWW Crap! I interrupted something did I? " Vector groaned smacking his face.

"No, you didn't.." Espio said walking up to him.

Tails and Charmy walked in together going over to his room and I went over by Espio.

"Looks like someone has a vacation now." Vector laughed.

Everyone kinda hanged out in the lab talking back and forth but I eventually got tired of it so I headed home.

"I'll see you in the morning." I said patting Espio's shoulder.

"Oh alright.. Too much for you?" He asked.

"Yea.. anyway be careful with your arm."

He nodded and walked with me to the door.

"I don't think I asked, how's your head? From the impact and all?"

"Terrible, but I'll manage."

"Hm, well.. goodnight." I waved.

He waved back and walked back inside.

I guess I need to be brave and actually take my chance.. no I WILL I'll ask him out tomorrow? No that seems a little weird. But I do like him and he likes me so.. maybe we could both ask each other out? Silver you're being delusional.

I shook my head and went home to get some rest, I've had a long day.
