"Next time y'all come in here I'm calling mamas," Alexis said to the young teenage boys who had just walked into her tattoo parlor requesting service. After she asked for proper identification, she realized the young boys were giving her fake identification cards.

Looks of humiliation covered the boy's faces as they pouted from the shop doors. Not responding, they just opened the door and dismissed themselves. Alexis sighed, looking over at her friend and employee, Sadie McIntosh.

Sadie and Alexis had been friends since Alexis was eight years old. Originally born in Chicago, Sadie and Alexis were neighbors and decided to keep in contact once Alexis moved to North Carolina. After Alexis opened her shop in '21, she convinced Sadie to move and work with her. Sadie was hesitant at first but she did and she's happy she made the right decision.

"You remember being that age," Sadie chuckled as she licked over her lip. Sadie leaned on the receptionist's desk as her two stand twist dangled in front of her face.

"I do," Alexis smiled. "You've seen that dumb ass tattoo I got on my thigh." Alexis was covered in tattoos and had been getting them since she was twelve years old. The one on her thigh was her first one, it was supposed to be a rose but ended up fading and now it looked like a dead plant.

"I can't believe you let Gage's small head ass fuck you up like that," Sadie chuckled as she reminisced on the old days. "You saw a deal and couldn't beat it huh?"

"Girl don't act like you weren't about to get one," Lexie reminded her. Indeed Sadie was supposed to get a tattoo as well that day but she ended up backing out at the last minute because she was scared of what her grandmother's reaction was going to be.

Sadie smiled as she looked towards the door and the bell went off, indicating someone was walking in. "You know Grandma Jo don't play that."

Alexis and Sadie's attention fell onto the door as Jordan walked in with her best friend, Zaria, and two men. As they walked completely in, Alexis immediately remembered them from a couple of weeks ago at the club.

"SISTER GIRL," Jordan cheered as she hugged her younger sister. The smell of alcohol reeked from Jordan's breath indicating that she had been drinking.

"Hey Lex," Zaria said before locking eyes with Sadie.

"Hey," Alexis mugged. "What are you doing here?" she asked looking at Jordan and the tall men. Jordan had a bad habit of trying to make Lexie's shop the kick-it spot and Lexie wasn't for that. This was her place of business, not a lounge and she wanted to treat it as such.

"Well," Jordan began to say as she turned her attention toward the men.

"How you doing ma?" the one who was referred to as Skilla spoke. "I heard you're good at tattoos and I was wondering if you had time to start one for me?"
