Finally it was the day when we turned grown adults in life the time we can boast that we are ready for jobs.
It's that day when we graduate, not me being happy even though I had already started working full time.
Either way am happy because school boring at times, the only thing mi ago miss a the war them I could stay and be a 6th former but nah that's too much work and stress.
I was getting ready doing my daily routine then putting on my uniform, I made sure there was no creases and brushed my suede shoes black, mi haffi dolly down fi graduation.
Bout two time mi Eva wear tha Clark's here First day at grade 11 then pic day and now make three. Most of the times I rather wear Payless cause it's less work and easy to handle.
Jay was supposed to match shoes with me today he wanted to wear A1's but I said no, so that's it we're set.
I made my way downstairs and ate my breakfast silently with my mom, Jay called to make sure I was ready and to allert me he would arrive shortly.
I checked to make sure everything was in place twice before picking up my handbag and phone, I said my goodbyes to my parents just then Ajay's car pulled up.
I entered and made myself comfortable, I used his expensive cologne and sprayed some on myself, "why yah spray so much?"
"Because mi stink." I said covering back the perfume then taking a sip of my water, "oh." He replied, his attention on the road.
I picked up his soda and drank some, I felt my throat burn and I coughed "that's why yuh nuh fi greedy and nam everything yuh see." He said before grabbing the bottle from my hand and sipped it.
"A wah in deh?" I asked drinking my water, "wray and him nephew." He replied, putting it back in the cup holder.
Mi did honestly think a sprite because a that the label read, and a sprite bottle it ina so am not in the wrong.
We arrived at school and I gathered my items before leaving his car, I walked up the long stairs and headed to the staff room where I looked for Mrs. Donald or Mr. Thomas.
After finding them, I went straight to lower school and searched for Jayda, mi Neva get fi practice the march.
After finding her she told me everything I needed to know, am grateful for the friends I have their the best.
After ensuring everything was perfect the teachers lined us up alphabetically and the march began.
Of course my mom missed work to come record her child graduating, when the march was done we sat in our designated seats and listened to what the principal had to say.
