Preparing myself for this day which was yet to come tears in my eyes the breeze blowing in my face.

The car came to a stop the passenger door was opened and I got out, walking to the grave I let everything I was holding back out.

I placed the bouquet on it "happy early birthday daddy." I said wiping my tears Jay was at the car he decided to give me alone time with my dad.

"Tomorrow I'll be 18 and you'll be 39." Mi nuh know how people do this.

I grip my bag feeling dizzy if mi stay likkle longer mi ago faint.

Exiting the graveyard I entered the carpark holding onto Jay.

I laid down onto the cars backseat crying the remaining tears and slowly fell asleep

Jay lifted me and brought me inside, my mother rushed to us looking worried.

"I'm fine." I said and Jay explained to my mother.

And she understood immediately, Jay brought me to my room and laid me on my bed while giving me comfort.

One thing he not finna allow me to cry for too long.

I try focusing on something else, pushing the thought out of my head.

I finally stopped crying, "Ella yuh cyah sad and gloomy tomorrow a yuh birthday."

"I know I am trying." Inhaling and exhaling, I took a deep breath then calmed down.

We talked for a while, mostly him being my therapist.

My mother entered the room with food and tea, I sat up on the bed and ate the food.

After finishing I cooled the tea then drank it.

She talked to me for a while before leaving the room, she put on weight man.
