Tails and Knuckles both had finally regained consciousness, only to look to their horror to see Sonic and the Wachowskis get squashed by the Death Egg Robot.

"No!" cried Tails. He couldn't lose Sonic. He was more than just a hero in his eyes. He was like... a big brother to him.

Willow had her knees tucked into her chest in a ball of despair.

"I GOT HIM!" bellowed Robotnik elatedly in sweet satisfaction, much like Jim Carrey's Grinch. "I FINALLY GOT HIM!"

Suddenly, the cockpit room shifted, jerking off to one side momentarily, causing Willow to smack her face into one side of the particle barrier and Robotnik to almost lose his footing.

Willow's oncoming tears self-unexpectedly went away as her expression was filled with bewilderment when she stood up, while Robotnik's shocked expression became a bit more angry.

"What was that?!" He narrowed his eyes as he stepped closer to see what was going on down below.

Tails and Knuckles all watched in wonder and confusion as this was happening. Underneath the robot's foot, Tom and Maddie were sprawled on their stomachs, still very much alive. They lifted their heads to behold a golden glow as the Death Egg Robot's foot was being lifted. The Blue Blur they all knew was now enveloped in a golden glow, a to his fur, and the spines on his head were levitating on end like a flickering, hungry golden flame. He breathed heavily as he collected his newfound immense strength to keep the robot's foot from crushing him and his friends.

The "super-hedgehog" blasted upwards straight through the foot, causing the Death Egg Robot to stumble back. Tails and Knuckles watched in awe as the hedgehog rose like a newborn shining star. Robotnik repulsed at his light and aura he gave off, bright and radiant as the sun. Willow shielded her eyes, only peeking through her fingers to see the silhouette of her friend.

Robotnik panicked and Willow looked around in wonder as they whipped around in all directions to watch the hedgehog zip around the Death Egg Robot's head like a giant metal saw, decapitating it and exposing its residents, and allowing the head to slide and fall off in a dense THUD!

Robotnik gasped in disbelieving shock, while Willow in quiet astonishment as the new "Super Sonic", whom she could now see his emerald eyes replaced with a empowered solid ruby, approached the doctor and hovered just in front of the edge of the Death Egg Robot's neck, his face locked in a look of righteous anger. Willow subconsciously drew her FUJIFILM camera out of her backpack and took a quick picture, before placing both back into her bag.

"It's over, Eggman." His eyes went over to the Willow, who remained trapped with the particle barrier encapsulation, which made him all the more enraged. "Now, let. Her. Go," he firmly demanded.

Robotnik laughed a little as he gave him a nervous smile. "I like the new look. It works for you," he admitted. "What do you say we just let bygones be bygones?" he suggested. "I did some things, you did some things. There are good people on both sides."

Super Sonic's glare hardened, distrusting him. So, the doctor continued.

"Surely two intelligent beings..." Willow gasped as she caught Robotnik discreetly pressing buttons on his control glove and the Death Egg Robot's right arm balling into a fist. "... can work these things OUT!"

"Sonic!" screamed Willow, extending a hand.

The robot swung its arm at Super Sonic. To both captor and captive's surprise, Super Sonic blocked the fist with one hand, without even turning his attention to it. Robotnik pushed his fist further, only for it to self-combust, utterly destroying the entire arm.
