Dead fallen leaves rustled around on the cliff where Sonic used to look upon Green Hills from a good distance. The leaves spiraled in a twist in the air, then blew back. A new ring portal appeared in their place, and out came a short golden yellow two-tailed fox wearing a backpack of the same color.

The young fox landed on his red shoes with white toecaps and looked around. In his hand he held some sort of small yellow tracking device by the handle on the bottom that radiated small triplet frequencies as he moved it around. They frequencies then turned high-pitched when it closed in on a possible signal.

"If these readings are accurate," the fox thought aloud while typing a couple of buttons on his device before putting it away. "he's here. I've found him! I just hope I'm not too late."

His crystal blue eyes blazed with guts as his twin tails whipped behind him. He readied a stance, then huffed and leapt off the edge of the cliff. His tails spun in momentum and propelled him in midair, then the young yellow fox zoomed, flying at a high speed towards the town.

By nightfall, he had reached the downtown area, just outside the police station and stealthily landed behind some bushes. Clouds were gathering at this time, a possible sign of a storm approaching.

The fox checked his device again and hummed. "Hmm, he's close. I just need a way to reach him without being spotted."

He then spotted a police car outside the Mean Bean Coffee Café, a quaint corner joint that had opened up a few months ago, and a lightbulb went off in his head. "Standard human transport. Perfect!"

It was getting later into the evening when Willow decided to microwave the microwaveable burritos the Wachowskis left behind with a sticky note that said they could heat it up in the kitchen. She was doing her best not to interfere with Sonic, as she was only tasked to watch how good of a job he does, and nothing more. Sonic was wearing his shades again, floating around in the kiddie pool in a flamingo floatie listening to "This Is How We Do It" by Montell Jordan when he heard a vibrating sound. He reached down into the water, but fell in. All covered in bubbles, he fished out and peered at his phone (which miraculously was still working), showing that Tom was about to FaceTime him.

"Uh oh."

Sonic looked around at the humongous mess he made. "Euh boyee..." Tom was not going to be happy about this.

Sonic quickly shut off the music and switched on the lights. As soon as Willow heard the music turn off and the vibrating of a phone, she left the tending of watching the burritos to her utter relief that Sonic had cleaned up the entire living room within a good three seconds and hurried over to come look over his shoulder behind the sofa arm. Sonic cleared his throat before pressing the 'Accept Call' button.

The FaceTime pulled up Tom hanging out on the grassy fields of the resort, experiencing some cloudy, yet rather mild weather.

"Alo-HA!" he greeted them with a huge grin on his face, despite mispronunciation. "How's it going, bud?"

"Aloha, Tom!" Willow waved back over Sonic's shoulder.

"Oh, 'ya know. Just a quiet night at home, settling in with a good book," Sonic lied before distracting Tom by asking, " And you? What's up with you?"

"Oh! just called to say we're here. But now, every word in your mouth is making me suspicious."

Sonic gave a nervous laugh. "What?! You gotta relax, buddy! You're at the Four Seasons: Oahu. Have a virgin Mai Tai! Enjoy some time with your wife! Get sunburned somewhere embarrassing! This weekend is about you."
