Chapter 3 - Secrets

Narrator's Pov
It has been three days since Evelyn became friends with Lynn. Everything was going well, and they were getting along very quickly.

A lot has changed in the last three days. Evelyn has grown stronger than before and has developed new skills.

She's been training with Lynn, and Lynn has never been happier.

Most of the happiness is because she's been alone all this time but the other half is because she doesn't get along with others her age, especially her sister.

She's different from everyone else, she always has been. She mostly kept to herself because of that and was always negative around others.

Though, she wasn't always like that. She was open and filled with excitement all the time until she just stopped getting along with everyone.

She's happy that Evelyn is here to finally guide her, and possibly take her home. Even though her last moment with her sister was an argument, she misses her more than anything.

Evelyn woke up super early like she had been doing for the past three days. She's hoping to create some type of routine to keep her going in this new world.

She got out of her creaky, old bed and headed to the bathroom to get ready for the day. She had been washing her clothes in the lake just behind the castle.

It's at least something until she gets new clothes. Lynn has been doing the same for years, she only has two pairs of jeans, two pairs of shirts, and one hoodie.

Evelyn gets out of the bathroom and heads downstairs to the kitchen. She finds Lynn making breakfast like she does every morning.

"Good morning," Evelyn says with a tired voice.

"Morning Evie," Lynn says as she turns around from the counter.

Evelyn walks up behind her and looks over her shoulder, Lynn is making cereal for both of them. It's the only thing they've been eating in the morning since they can't go out just yet.

Lynn plans to have Evelyn train a bit more and gain some more skills to help her defend herself. This world is known to be a bit crazy, which is what Lynn says to Evelyn all the time.

As Lynn finishes pouring the milk into the bowls, she hands one to Evelyn and goes to sit down at the table behind them.

Evelyn sat in the seat in front of her and began eating, and so did Lynn. It was a comfortable silence like it had been every morning.

After about 10 minutes they had both finished and got up to put the bowls in the sink.

They both went outside to train. They go inside for shooting and outside for magic training. Today, Evelyn was going to do both outside.

Lynn set up the shooting tables, magazines, guns, and targets, and put some water on the ground next to them.

She had also set up a few targets for magic training on the side of the shooting setup.
