Violet woke up from her slumber, very early in the morning, she dreaded the thought that today was her first day at school, and also the fact that she wasn't going to attend the same school as the pogues but the kook academy. She jumped into her clothes and gathered her books into her bag and walked out of her room, downstairs. She was hoping to see her dad, but all that she saw was a sticky note
'Hope you have an amazing first day at school. Call me later, love you.'
A few days have passed since Ward Cameron blew himself up in front of them and the whole police department, a few days she spend at home with her dad, a time they spend together cooking and joking, and the few nights she got to fall asleep on the couch, wrapped in the loving arms of her father, she missed spending time with her dad, she knew how much she meant to him and how much he loved her, he was the only person who had ever been on her side since the very beginning and she would be forever grateful for that. He wasn't perfect, no one ever was. He knew that he wasn't perfect and also knew that he could spend some more time at home, and that he probably didn't needed to work as hard as he was, but that's just who Axel Snow was - an workaholic, and Violet knew that, and she had no problem with it. She knew that deep down Axel was scared. He was scared pf losing what he had built, himself from the ground up with his own two hands. He didn't have the things she does when he was her age. He was a pogue. He grow up with nothing and now he has everything, and he was going to make sure that he would never lose a single piece of it. Even if it meant working for 14 hours a day.
Violet sighed and grabbed the note, putting it in her phone case, she grabbed her car keys, put on her shoes and walked out. Her phone started ringing and she quickly looked at it. J was written on the screen and she answered the call almost immediately.
"Hi J." She said and unlocked the car, jumping in.
"Hi Vi. Just wanted to check in, see how you're doing, haven't seen you in days, you okay?" Violet started her car and nodded her head.
"Yes I'm okay. You?"
"I'm okay, on my way to school." There were a few moments of silence. "So what are you doing? On your way to the Kook academy, yet?" Violet giggled at his remark.
"Just got into my car, I'll be there soon, it'll be weird without you there." She said and quickly added 'guys.' "Without you guys."
"It's okay if you remove the 'guys' again. It'll be weird without you too." Violet smiled at her phone and started backing up her car, she put it into drive and waited for the camera to detect her car and soon enough the gates opened.
"I'm not removing the guys J."
"Fine then, I'm removing mine as well, by the way there's this bonfire tonight, we are going, do you want to tag along?"
"That's a weird way to ask me on a date J." She could hear JJ taking a deep breath and he cleared out his throat.
"Tonight is the annual bonfire, I want you to be there, when should i pick you up m'lady?" Violet giggled and could feel her cheeks reddening.
"Anything between 7 and 8."
"I'll be there at 7:30, but you should probably come pick me up, cause I don't have a car." JJ said and Violet just started laughing.
"Be there at 7:30 J. Have a good day at school."
"You too Vi, see you at 7:30." JJ said and ended the call. Violet shook her head with a big smile and drove herself to the Kook academy. Since she was new, she would probably be taking pop quizzes in every damn subject, just to check where exactly was she in her academic career and she didn't mind it, she was actually just waiting for the day to be over so that she could spend some time with JJ. And the others.
