"In the shadows' embrace, she leads the way,
Her fedora tilted, mysteries at bay.
An association of spectral seekers unite,
Chasing ghosts, unraveling the night."

====================

As the morning sun bathed Seoul in a warm glow, I made my way through the bustling streets. Heading towards 'Phantom Insights', my, or should I say our, association, dedicated to solving paranormal mysteries.

Phantom Insight Association - Seoul, South Korea

Situated in a massive building, it served as the headquarters for our organization. I couldn't help but feel a sense of purpose. Within the association, 'Phantom Insights,' I held a prominent position, overseeing numerous paranormal investigations.

As I pulled into the parking lot, I caught sight of my colleague, a mischievous grin spread across his face as, Namjoon, leaning against his sleek black car in my rearview mirror.

"Late as usual, Y/n," he teased, flashing a playful wink.

I chuckled, stepping out of my car and joining him. Namjoon had a way of lightening the mood even on the most serious of days.

"Took you long enough to notice," I retorted, matching his playful tone.

We walked side by side into the building, our conversation filled with lighthearted banter and inside jokes. It was a welcome distraction from the weighty matters we often dealt with.

As we entered the building, I noticed the big TV screen mounted on the wall. The news was going on, and a reporter was delivering a story that caught my attention.

"Breaking news," the reporter began, "a series of gruesome murders have shocked the city, all with a mysterious way of brutal killing."

I couldn't help but murmur myself, "Mysterious way of killing? "

Namjoon, who had been engrossed in the news presentation, turned to me with a curious expression. "Y/n, you've heard of these before?"

I nodded, my mind racing with thoughts of the chilling cases. "I've encountered cases like this before, but this seems bit different. What d'you think, who might be the killer?" I asked him, raising my brow.

"Not sure, but the way the victim was killed is brutal enough to be done by a psycho or a serial killer." He stated. I hummed in response, still not satisfied by the answer.

"This doesn't appear normal to me, besides, the way of killing seems way more clean to be done even by a professional killer, let alone psycho or things..." I thought to myself. This was very different case unlike the ones I have seen.

The news presentation continued, detailing the police investigation's progress and the fear that had gripped the city.

As evening approached and hours flew by, I gathered my belongings and prepared to leave. Saying goodbye to Namjoon, I couldn't help but laugh as he couldn't resist throwing in some poor cheesy lines before I made my way to my car.
