Hot Honey: A Shadamy Mini Story

Today's the dayyy. I'll finally be able to see Hot Honey in person! Ooo, I can't wait to see Jeremy Bee! With my good friend shadow, of course.

Amy was checking herself in the mirror as she got ready for the concert. She had her "Hot Honey" t-shirt tyed in a knot to make it crop-top like, blue jeans, her iconic headband.

Knock knock knock

"COMING!" Shouted Amy. She grabbed her purse and ran to the door. She opened the door to see Shadow but...with a bouquet of roses?

Flashback
"Are you sure about this Rouge? Aren't roses pretty...generic? I mean, we're just going to see a concert, not to a fancy restaurant. " Shadow stated. He was raising his eyebrow at the bat, wondering if he should go through with it or not. "Well, her name IS Amy ROSE. Besides, she's a lovesick person, of course she would like them." Rouge waved off his question. She did know Amy more than Shadow. "Now come on, she's probably waiting for you." Rouge pushes him out of her house as she waves goodbye. "Have fun, you two! And don't forget to tell her!" She slams the door as she shrieks with excitement. Shadow rolls his eyes and teleports to Amy's house.
End of flashback

"Oh, I didn't expect you to be the flower type Shadow." She said as she took the roses from him. She smiled softly and blushed at his gesture. "Yeah, I guess you can say I'm...new to this sort of thing." replied Shadow, scratching the back of his head and looking away from Amy. "Well, it's very sweet of you, I'll just leave it in a vase real quick, and we'll be on our way." Amy quickly went to go take the roses inside and set them in a vase. She takes one more good look at the roses before leaving her house once again. She closes and locks the door in excitement and goes off her way with Shadow.

"You ready?" He asked as he pulled out his chaos emerald. "Actually, can we walk there? It's not that far, and I wanna get to know you better." Amy requested. She realized earlier that Shadow seemed to know some things that Amy enjoyed, but she didn't know that much about him. "Uh, sure." He puts away the chaos emerald and holds out his arm for Amy to take.

"You're acting like a gentleman today." Giggled Amy as she wrapped her arm around Shadow. "Well, it's what you deserve." Shadow looked at her and smiled. Amy blushed as she admired the angle Shadow's lips were making. He's... smiling. It's rare to see him smile. Hell, he doesn't even smile for the most part... it's more of a smirk.

"Rose?" The sound of Shadow's voice snapped her back into reality. However, it wasn’t the voice that caught her attention..."What did you call me?" Amy tilted her head as she looked at Shadow. "Uh...rose? Why do you not like that name?" Stupid stupid stupid, ugh, why did you blurt that out. Shadow was beating himself up mentally, trying to keep his composure on the outside. Although Amy felt different about it. "Oh no, if anything, I love it. It's unique and it's special coming from you." Amy beamed a smile at him, making Shadow blush madly. He clears his throat and looks away. "How come?" Shadow mummbled. "Well, considering the fact that you prefer to stay to yourself and not much as a..." Amy makes finger air quotes. "Social person, it's nice to know that I have your respect." Amy lightly blushes as she looks to the side.

They both continued walking and chatting, enjoying each other's company.

As they were walking, they heard something messing with the bushes nearby. Amy tightened her grip on Shadow's arm, looking around in panic. Shadow was now becoming more aware of their surroundings in case something came up. Shadow grabs Amy's hand and pulls her in towards him. Now against him, she buries her face in his chest fur.

"Chaos-" Just as he was about to chaos control out of there, something jumped out of the bushes in front of them. Startled, they both looked at what was scaring them.
