A tall, thin woman stood overlooking a lake. She peered into the water, scrying on the Mortal world. A small child was shown, pale skinned and dark hair, sleeping peacefully in a cave. Next to the child, the woman watched as a man's strong, burly hands appeared and laid a second child down. A moment later, the woman's scrying was broken by a familiar voice.
"They'll do well together, Alice," the man shown in the lake stepped out of the trees surrounding it.
Alice smiled, tossing her glossy black hair over her shoulder. "Yes, a hero and a villain. What could go wrong?"
The man put his arm over her shoulder. "'What could go wrong?' Look at us, Alice! Your daughter and my son. It's just like us."
Alice sighed, but not unkindly. "You're right, Henry. They'll be great friends," she said.
Henry nodded and smiled. The two ruling World Creators gazed at the lake for a moment before locking a friendly gaze and heading off.
