A hooded figure stands at the edge of a cliff, looking down into the dark, dangerous waters below. Suddenly, the rushing water calms, the color turning to a light teal, sun sparkling on the water.

"You're mad again," a glowing figure said, appearing beside the hooded person.

"I'm always mad, Fae," the dark figure retorted.

"Seth, you have to have positive thoughts," Fae said softly, touching her pale hand on Seth's slumped shoulder.

"Why did I have to be paired with you? A hero and a villain - who ever heard of it?" Seth exploded. He spun away from Fae, who looked taken aback, and faced the rising wind, his leathery black wings becoming ruffled in the gust.

Seth felt the wind calm, and turned back to Fae, spotting tears in the pale girl's eyes.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean it." Seth said, bringing Fae in for a hug, heart softening.

She had a slim figure, but her large, feathered wings were as big and strong as his own leathery bat ones, only white in color. Fae looked into Seth's dark eyes, finding a love only she received. Seth placed his hand on Fae's head, slightly ruffling her hair before stepping back and sitting at the top of the cliff, legs dangling off the edge. Fae sat down next to him, wrapping her wing around Seth's shoulder.
