I've wasted enough time. Thornpelt thought as he rose to his paws, leaving his makeshift den behind. He had spent a day resetting and planning after his exile, and now he was ready to go through with his plan to take over AshClan, but first he needed to find Echoheart. He had no doubt in his mind that Echoheart would remain loyal to him, he knew that she wanted to kill her sister and he would help her do just that.

He could easily make it to AshClan's territory without stepping over the SunClan border, not that was he was terrified of his former Clanmates, but he didn't want them to know his plan at all. He crossed into AshClan's territory from the twolegplace and began lurking through the pine trees, he would find his and Echoheart's typical meeting spot. It was an abandoned twolegnest, the place where her father was killed by rats. He had to hope that she would be waiting for him there until he came to her.

He swiftly crept through the pine trees of AshClan territory as quickly as he could until he reached the abandoned twoleg nest. He killed a rat on his way over and kept hidden. He caught the scent of Echoheart, but it was slightly faded. She's been here, but not today. I will wait here until she arrives. He knew that AshClan didn't frequently come here, only to kill rats and keep their population under control.

Thornpelt stepped through a hole in the side of the twoleg nest, a few rats scattering away too scared to fight him. The scent of crowfood and must was heavy on the air, but he kept himself hidden, he would be fine to stay here until Echoheart came to him.

It took almost half the day, he remained in the twoleg nest, eating the rat he killed until around late sunhigh. He finally heard pawsteps coming towards him, he tensed up, creeping through the twoleg nest and peering through another crack in the wood structure. His body relaxed as he saw Echoheart approached the nest, looking scared.

Thornpelt allowed her to step into the twoleg nest before he revealed himself and instantly saw relief on her face. She rushed to him and nuzzled his cheek, a gesture he didn't return. "I'm so glad you're okay!" She stepped back, her eyes full of fear. "I didn't know what to do."

"You did what you needed to." Thornpelt assured her. "I'm okay, and I've already come up with a back up plan."

Excitement sparked across her eyes. "You have? What is it?"

"Essentially the same as our first, but we're skipping SunClan." Echoheart tilted her head and he continued. "I am going to take control of AshClan. I need you to lead Lionstar away from the camp so I can kill him..." He flexed his claws. "If you want, lead both him and Riverstorm out of the camp and we can kill them both...once and for all."

He could see the urge to kill her sister burning deep in her eyes. "So you're going to become AshClan's leader? What if the Clan doesn't accept you, they will be suspicious about you suddenly showing up..."

"Has Flowerstar come to explain what happened to me left?" He questioned.

Echoheart shook her head. "Not as far as I know...all of the cats close to me vowed to keep it a secret until Flowerstar came forward. I imagine she'll do it at the gathering."

He nods. "Then we have to do this right away, we can't waste any time." He flicked his tail. "Your other sister cat is medicine cat right?"

"Yes, Moonwhisker." She replies. "What are you going to do to her?"

"Do you care about her?" Thornpelt narrowed his eyes.

He saw Echoheart think for a moment. "She's better than Riverstorm...but I'll do anything that we need to."

He nods, giving her praise for her loyalty. "I won't kill her, but we can force her to fake a sign or dream from StarClan, so AshClan has no choice but to accept me as leader."
