Charlotte's POV
"Charlotte!" Carly comes running up to me in the staff room.
"Oh hi Carly, what's up?" I smile at her sweetly.
"Mia just totalled Marjorie's car." She looks breathless, did she run here?
"Oh my god! What?!" I practically shout.
"Yeah and now she's in the office trying to take on Autumn." Is she serious?
"She's poking the bear?" My eyes widen.
"Yeah, I don't know how many levels of delulu you gotta be to think you can take on Autumn."
"Exactly. Should we go down to Marjorie?" I ask.
"Yes come on." She runs off leaving me to rush after her. When we get there Mia's on the floor.
"Oh my god what happened?" I say, why do I kind of.. care for her?
"Winter knocked her out with the door." Marjorie states. I couldn't hold in my laugh.
"Do me a favour Charlotte?" Marjorie asks. I nod my response because I'm still laughing. "Wait here with her til the police get here? I need to see Reese."
"Yeah of course. Go get your man." I reply after I finished having my fit with Carly.
"Thank you." She smiles walking out the office.
"Well I'm staying with you because I need you to drop me home if you don't mind?" Carly says, looking at me with her 'puppy eyes' as she calls it.
"Carly you know them eyes only work on Reese. But yes I will drop you home." I laugh at her.
"Yes! Thank you, you're the best Char." She hugs me.
"It's okay Carly." I hug her back. And then we hear satan speak.
"Will you 2 shut up? I have a headache." Mia says getting up from the floor and sitting in Autumn's chair.
"Mia. Welcome back." I snigger.
"Oh Charlotte." She smirks at me. "Hi sweetheart." She says that everytime she sees me. It's getting quite irritating now. I also see Carly's smirking face, which makes this even worse.
"Mia I've already told you to stop calling me that. I have a husband." I wave my hands around as I'm saying it, showing the ring.
"Yeah a shit one at that." I hear Carly mumble.
"Carly!" I whisper-yell.
"Whattt? I'm telling the truth. That man ain't shit." She giggles. I roll my eyes at her, no one seems to like my husband.
"Oh trouble in paradise." Mia speaks again.
"No Mia. It's just that for some unknown reason everyone hates my husband." I sigh looking down at my hand. What if they're right?
"Well, it sounds to me you could do a whole lot better." Mia smirks at me again. Before I could reply the police come in and take her away. Thank god.
"What was that all about?" Carly says.
"What do you mean?"
"Mia calling you sweetheart and basically flirting with you." She says, like it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"I don't know. She's been doing it for ages now, everytime she sees me."
"I think someone has a thing for youuu." Carly sings as we walk out to my car.
"No I think she just wants to get at Reese." I exclaim. That can't be right. She likes Reese?
"Oh yeah, you could be right." She laughs again as we hop in my car.
"Well even if she does, I'm married."
"Charlotte how long is it going to take you to realise that idiotic man does not deserve you?"
"Carly he's a good man okay? I don't understand why you all hate him so much." I sigh pulling into the main road. Carly goes quiet. She's never quiet, unless..
"Carly.. What do you know?" I ask carefully.
"Ugh I was told not to tell you but I can't hide anything from you. He's been.. flirting with other girls." What?
"What? No surly not. How do you know?" I can feel the tears burning up already.
"Autumn was at the same bar as him last week. I'm so sorry Charlotte."
"Oh right. Who um, who told you not to tell me?" I wipe the tear that dropped away.
"Autumn said she was going to deal with it..." Carly whispers looking away from me.
"What! And you let her? Oh god I'm going home to a dead husband aren't I?" I start panicking.
"He kinda deserves it." She mumbles. About 2 minutes later we're outside her house.
"Thank you Char and I'm sorry about Henry." (I didn't know what to call him😂.) she smiles sympathetically.
"It's okay. I'll be okay, I just hope there's not a murder scene at my house." I joke even though I wanted to cry. Carly doesn't say anything. Instead she grabs me into a hug over the gear stick. I hug her back and we stay like that for ages before she pulls back.
"Call me if you need me." She smiles again. I nod and she gets out the car, her mum waving at me. I sigh before pulling my car out of her drive way, heading home.
Mia's POV
I'm currently sitting in a prison cell, waiting for Robert to come get me. I'm thinking about how I can get closer to Charlotte. Of course I don't like Charlotte. I just want to flirt with her to piss of Marjorie. And possibly Reese, seeing as Marjorie and Charlotte are quite close.
"Mia." I hear the owners voice.
"It's about damn time I called you ages ago." I sigh angrily while the officer unlocks the door. I just want to go home now.
"Yes well I had to get out of work first. Now, are you coming back to the nursery?" Is he crazy?
"No." I laugh in his face. "I'm going home." I walk away from him and to the front desk to get my things. Unfortunately I have to stay with this idiot because he has to drop me home.
"Let's go then." I say after getting my stuff back. I see a unread message from.. Charlotte?
Mia, we need you to work at our nurses tomorrow. One of our staff has come down with the flu so if you could please be here by 7:30 that would be great. It read.
Of course sweetheart. See you then. I replied. I love teasing her.
"You..haven't told anyone about what I asked you to do. Right?" I hear his annoying ass voice again.
"No Robert. Of course not, there's a reason you pay me every month." I shout. The car finally comes to a stop outside mine.
"Bye Mia." He says. I just ignore him and get out of the car. Walking inside and going straight upstairs to change. After I was done I got some snacks and put on some random tv channel in the background while I just scrolled on my phone.
So this is the start to the Mialotte story, I hope it's okay. Im half asleep writing all of this but I wanted to get it out tonight for yous aswell as the Marjoreece update. Love you🫶🏼
