Lizzie's Pov:

Wednesday, April 21, 2021

I know something is different with Sav, and I know Chris knows but he just doesn't know how to approach it. I mean, she was sitting in the kitchen alone for I don't know how long.

I totally understand why she went upstairs, I couldn't help but laugh when I realized how fast she turned around to go upstairs. "Scarlett, how nice of you to join us. Liz, you got this. I have something to do in the basement." Chris said, walking towards the kitchen. I almost failed to hold my laugh in.

Chris' house doesn't have a basement. Chris and Sav never fail to make me laugh without noticing it. "Okay then, Liz, can we talk? The other two are clearly avoiding me." Scarlett directed toward me, awkwardly.

Honestly, I don't want to talk to her either but since the other two made it so obvious they don't want to talk to her then I guess I have some type of obligation to talk to her. "Sure, let's go sit." A smile appeared on her face which made me realize how sad she looked before when Chris and Sav walked away.

"So, what do you want to talk about?" I asked as the both of us sat on the couch. "I want to know more about Sav, I want to spend more time with her, I want to be able to talk to her. I know Chris won't talk to me about her and I know I have an even less likely chance of Sav talking to me about herself." Scarlett explained, you could hear the hurt in her voice which makes me feel even worse.

I don't know what to tell her. "Scar, there's not much I can say. Chris and Sav have their own dynamic together. There's not much you can say to one without the other one knowing, that's just how they work together." She was starting to cry, even though she wasn't looking at me I could tell by the way her body was rocking.

"There's a lot that comes with Sav, Scar. I don't know if you're ready for all of it. I can tell you some but the rest you have to find out on Sav's time. But what I can say is, Sav has been through a lot in her life and she's still dealing with it. Savannah is the teenager that loves her sport, her favorite color is purple, she loves music, and watching movies." I let out a short laugh.

"I just want to spend time with her. Without an argument or other people around to remind me of all the things I don't know about her, I want to know her without hearing about her from other people." Scarlett explains, she feels strongly about wanting to get to know Sav.

I have to find some type of way to get Scarlett and Savannah to spend time together. "I get it, Scar, I really do. I think I may be able to try and find a way for you to spend time with her. The only problem is, getting her to agree to it. I know Chris will be fine with it as long as she is." I think out loud.

Scarlett gets an alert on her phone, alerting her that she has to leave for a meeting. I don't know how to get Savannah to agree but I have to try.

I'll talk to Chris about it and see what he will say.

A FEW HOURS LATER

"Chris, all I'm saying is that it's not such a bad idea." I tried to reason, Chris and I were currently talking about whether or not we should allow Sav to stay with Scarlett during the time we are gone.

"She wants to be alone Lizzie, she even rejected the option of having the twins stay with her. She doesn't want to stay or talk to anyone so why would she want to stay with Scarlett of all people?" Chris huffed as he continued to pack his suitcase.

"Can we atleast try? If she says no then that's the end of it, if she agrees then that's a step forward. Please Chris?" I practically begged, we've been talking about this for hours. I heard a loud sigh and I knew he was finally going to give in.

"Fine, only if she says yes. We can't try and sweet talk her into it." Chris decided, I squealed and ran to give him a hug. "Now, how do you suppose we present this idea to her?" I asked, I had to hold in my laughter when he looked at me in disbelief.

"You don't even know how to ask her?" He whined, jumping up and down like a child. I actually have no clue how to do it. I have two, maybe three ideas. We can ask her out of the blue, or we can sit down and ask her about it, and lastly we can just text her and ask her if she wants to do it or not.

I know the last one doesn't sound like the best option given the type of kid Savannah is. I don't want to seem too pushy or seem like I don't care. I think Savannah would take any of the options out of proportion but it's worth a try.

I think I figured out which one I actually want to do.

"We should sit her down." I said, "I think we should just text her." Chris said at the same time. I whipped my head towards him and tapped him in the head. "Seriously?" I asked, unimpressed. All this man did was smile, I question what he thinks everyday.

"Yea, nope. I totally agree with you, we should sit her down." He rushedly agreed, not very convincing Christopher. "Lizzie that hurt." He whined, rubbing the side of his head. I couldn't help but laugh. There was a knock at the door. "Come in!" Chris shouted, and in walked Sav.

"What's funny?" She asked, leaning on the doorway, munching on her goldfish. This child. "Nothing, wonderful Elizabeth here just decided it was a great idea to hit me in my head." Chris fake cried, making his daughter laugh. Seeing them laugh together could make my whole day.

"Hey dad, don't forget snitches end up in ditches. Mom and I would hate to do that to you." She joked, earning a dramatic gasp from Chris as me and her started to laugh. Next thing I knew Sav and I were thrown over Chris' shoulders as he walked somewhere.

"Put us down!" Sav and I chanted as we punched and hit his back as an attempt for him to let us go. Clearly it didn't work since the next thing I felt was my whole body covered in water. As I rose from underneath the water I could do nothing but gasp for air. Meanwhile, "You could've at least grabbed my bag of goldfish. Now they're soggy and swimming in the pool instead of my stomach." She fake whined, splashing Chris with pool water.

I wish all of our days would end like this.
