I skillfully managed to conceal majority of my scars and cuts, using a combination of band bracelets and foundation. I readjusted my Bring Me the Horizon t-shirt and pulled my jean shorts down a bit before quickly dusting my face with powder and reapplying a layer of mascara and eyeliner. I grabbed my phone off its charger, shoving it in my purse before heading out my room.
That's when I saw her. Her eyes, normally bloodshot and dark rimmed, were clear and her appearance organized. My mother's hands were on her hips and a scowl masking her glossed covered lips.
"Where do you think you're going, young lady?" She drawled out, her hawk-like gaze narrowing.
I shuffled a bit under her hard gaze, avoiding eye contact. "Out," I answered bluntly.
She rolled her eyes at my response, her scowl only deepening, "no you most certainly are not. It's a school night and it is ten o'clock at night! You are not going anywhere young lady!" She ordered.
I rolled my eyes at her rather commanding tone, marching past her, only to have my arm grabbed by her claw-like nails. I gasped in pain and tried to ply off her vice-like grip, but she only tightened it. "Let me go," I said slowly, hoping to sound demanding.
She sneered at me instead and practically dragged me back to my room, shoving me in there and storming out, muttering about 'ungrateful children'.
I swore under my breath and opted for climbing out the window instead. I precariously shuffled on the slim ledge, before leaping onto a tree branch and shimmying down the rough bark, ignoring the slight scratch marks on my bare legs.
I huffed as I reached the bottom and practically ran to the closest bus station, preparing myself for what I hoped would be the best night of my life.

Bring Me the Horizon was amazing live. I cried tears of happiness during Deathbeds, and I sag along to every lyric. Everything was breathtaking in concert, Oli's singing and the bands music. It was in all honesty, the best night of my life.
I was heartbroken when it was over, but I managed to record a fair amount of the performance on my phone. There was a meet and greet after the show, and despite the rather long lineup, I waited patiently to meet my favourite band on the planet.
It felt like hours until the line finally grew smaller, and I reached the front, perhaps it was hours, as by the time I neared the front, it was well past midnight. I squealed in excitement when I caught sight of Oli's familiar tattooed body, and I began jumping up and down excitedly.
A man came out and suddenly whispered something to the guys, and they shook their heads, protesting. But it was too late, the man had already starting to announce: "alright everyone! Nice meeting you all but Bring Me the Horizon has to go!"
I felt my chest deflate and a frown creep up on my face. Just when I was about to meet my idols, they were swept away from me suddenly. It wasn't fair, I was almost at the front of the line and then they had to go? Bullshit.Matt N, stood up angrily, "this is bullshit!
These kids were waiting for hours, we're almost done anyways."
The other guys argued against whom I presumed was a manager, but eventually they had to leave. I felt utterly devastated at being so close yet so far from them, but understood the reasoning. Tonight still was the best night of my life even though I didn't actually get to meet the band, and nothing can take it away from me.
I smiled sadly at the guys as they were practically forced backstage and my eyes briefly caught those of Lee. He winked at me, or at least I think it was me, before he was ushered to the dressing rooms.
