Your heart was racing as you stepped closer and closer to your boyfriend.

You've kept your eyes on him ever since you first arrived but until now, you've been able to hold back your tears and keep as calm as possible.

But now, with every step you take that brings you one step closer to him, you feel the tears filling your eyes and your heart almost ready to burst.

It's been a long eighteen months since he first enlisted and even though you've been able to see him here and there since then, it's not the same as getting to have him by your side all the time, like you're used to.

You're so proud of him.

Seeing him serve his country and seeing him get rewarded for his hard work while he's been in there has warmed your heart.

He's done such an amazing job and as proud as others are of him, no one is as proud as you are.

You saw him standing tall with his hands behind his back and his gaze straight ahead.

He was trying so hard to keep a straight face but the closer you got, the more you saw his lips almost tugging into a smile.

And once you were finally close enough, you ran to him and jumped into his arms.

He let out a breath of relief as he wrapped his arms around you and held you tight.

"I wanted to run to you this whole time." He whispered in your ear. "I'm so happy I can hold you."

You tried to keep your tears from falling but Jin hadn't succeeded in doing the same and as soon as you felt a tear fall from his eyes and onto your neck, you couldn't help but let yours fall too.

"I've missed you so much." He said as he kissed your head. "So, so much."

"I've missed you too." You said and smiled through your tears as you looked at him.

He gently put you on your feet and pulled you in for a soft kiss.

His hands fell to your hips and his grip was tight, though not tight enough to hurt you.

It just felt too good to be true to him that he'd finally completed his mandatory military service.

He was so proud and so relieved and now that he was able to hold you, he never wanted to let you go.

"Don't cry." You chuckled as you cupped his cheeks.

"I can't help it." He said as he moved his hands from your hips to gently wrap his fingers around yours. "I just can't help it. I've missed you like crazy. I'm never letting you go."

He brought your hands to his lips to kiss them a few times before letting them go to wrap you in his arms again and put his lips back on yours.

Your heart was about to burst.

You were so overwhelmed with love and happiness and it just felt so incredible to know that he was by your side again.

"I'm so proud of you." You whispered against his lips. "You did it, baby!"

He smiled from ear to ear and pulled you in for a hug, his lips brushing against your head as he did so.

"Thank you, baby. I'm proud of myself too. But I'm so happy to be going home with you. I love you so much and I don't ever want to let you go again."

You smiled happily as you held him just as tightly, knowing that you weren't ever letting him go again, either.
