"You look absolutely amazing", I complimented Till as I opened the door for him. He was casually dressed for tonight's dinner with my parents. Dad couldn't believe it when I told him about our relationship. He was happy yet also worried and mostly questioning Till's intents with me 'cos of the age gap between us. I couldn't blame him, but I wanted him to have faith in us, in me. He knew that I wouldn't get into a relationship if it wasn't something serious, and so did mom.
I had left Till in the hotel after our love making session. He told me he had a businessmeeting to attend to. I tried to figure out what the "business he had to attend to" was exactly but he wouldn't tell me. So we both got up and ready again, ready and decent to continue our day.
Till entered our hallway and kissed me long and tender. His arms were wrapped around me, holding me close. Mum and dad came into the hallway to greet Till, but instead they bumped into us. We broke our kiss I looked down at my feet, slightly emberrassed. Till cleared his throat.
"It's so nice to meet you again", he shook hands with my father and gave my mother a kiss on her cheek.
"The pleasure is ours", my dad reassured him. He smiled warmly at them. I watched them bond. My parents invited him into the livingroom. We sat down in the couch. He laid his hand on my thigh. My mother wiggled her eyebrows at me, teasing and bullying me.
"A beer Til", my dad asked him. Till agreed.Once we all got settled our little evening could begin. Of course we started with small talks, it always starts like that. But there was someone who couldn't help but ask Till: "Diana looked beautiful at the graduation didn't she?"
"She absolutely did. She's a beautiful woman. I'm lucky", he smiled brightly before taking another sip from his beer.
"How exactly did you get together", my father asked more in a defensive tone. Till looked at me, waiting for an explanation."We euhm, we shared our first kiss in Marseille. From then on we just grew closer together", I simply explained. My mother watched us closely, affection and awe in her eyes.
"I never told you guys, but I always admired Till. I was so nervous meeting him. I mean you're very intimidating", I turned to him. He chuckled.
"I was so scared I'd mess something up between us, between the band and me. But you accepted me so quickly into the group, into your heart. I'm the lucky one", I continued.Till laid his hand on my shoulder, giving me a loving look. His eyes were a bit teary. Was he emotional?
"Who wants dinner", mum got up as the oven started beeping.
"Me", I chirped enthusiastic. She went to the kitchen and put everything on the table, nice and cosy.
"Gentleman, milady would you be so kind to join me at the table please", she motioned us to come over. We all got up and made our way over to her.Till laid his hand on my lower back, dangerously going down my ass. I looked up at him. He had mischief in his eyes. He smiled and kissed my forehead quickly. Dad took his usual place, mum accross him. Till sat down next to mom and I went sitting next to dad.
Mom had made us some fresh lasagna.
"It's Di's favorite", she explained to Till.
"It looks amazing", he complimented her as she handed him a portion. He thanked her.
"Wine mister Lindemann", dad asked him formally.
"Yes please", he accepted. Dad poured him a glass.Once everyone was settled, our dinner could begin.
"I am sorry if I was a bit overwhelming yesterday on the graduation. I'm just such a fan", dad felt the urge to apollogise to Till. He looked up from his plate.
"That's okay. I have met many fans and I can assure you, you were quite alright. There are some out there much crazier."
"Really?"
"Oh yes. Some are so crazy, they even want to get in a relationship with me", he looked at me. I rolled my eyes playfully. Dad laughed."No, all jokes aside, it was a pleasure meeting you yesterday and this dinner means a lot to me. I know you might think wrong of me because of the age gap and of you don't then allow me to still explain myself towards you and your daughter. I am deeply in love with Diana, truthfully. I have had several relationships, we have to face that, but never have I felt so close and so connected to a person as to her. When we first kissed and told each other how we felt, I knew she had to be the one. She was the missing piece in my life. She fills up my heart in places I never thought they could be filled up, with her love and her passion. She fixes the cracks in my heart that I never believed could be repaired again. I love her."
