chapter sixteen

Bakugo POV:
After school the whole class and I made our way to the train station. Getting the first train that fit our whole class on, making our way to Hosu city.

"You know I'm surprised to see you coming along Bakugo, I always thought you and Mayumi clashed heads I wouldn't have thought you'd care very much," commented Kirishima who was sitting next to me on the train.

"I DONT CARE I JUST HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO! Plus she's a powerful girl if something took her down I'd like to hear about it!" I yelled back. I didn't care... did I?

"Aww so you do care Bakugo," commented Zap-Zap man with the yellow hair.

"NO I DONT!" I don't care. I think.

"It's ok Bakugo, we believe you," added spikey hair before winking to the others. They all giggled before returning to their own convos. I returned to my phone, trying to find any report of a student getting caught in the attack but nothing. Although I kept seeing that the hooded hero got severely injured when fighting the Hero Killer with Endeavour, I wonder...no that's ridiculous. Be real Bakugo no student would be a pro hero. It's illegal.

"Come in..." spoke a weak voice as we all crowed in the class yelling surprise. Mayumi jumped from the hospital bed gripping her heart. I stared at her, she had bags under her eyes and her arm was in a sling, she looked terrible. Her hair was in a messy bun, she had her glasses on doing school work in her hospital gown. It was bad seeing anyone like this, but for some reason seeing her like this hurt me. I don't know why, but it did.

"Ah Oh my God you guys scared the shit outta me!" She laughed before packing up her books, Deku ran over to help her putting her books back into her bag that was on the floor beside her bed on the opposite side of everyone. I followed Deku to the other side along with half and half and purple balls dude. Everyone basically created a semi circle around her bed. She slowly readjusted herself with her left arm to sit up better, the class began asking her questions.

"sorry Mayumi, how are you? Are you ok? What happened? How much longer will you be away? We missed you today in class!" Chirped away one of the girls.

"Ok ok slow down one at a time. So firstly I'm ok, just lost a lot of blood that's all. So I'm still in here whilst they monitor my blood pressure and recovery as I was cut pretty deeply. As for what happened, I got caught up in a fight with one of those Nomus and I got thrown into a glass window causing me to land on top of a glass shard that went straight threw my arm. I kept trying to help out but I ended up just loosing tons of blood before passing out and ending up here when I woke up next. Anyways, I should be out within the next couple days to come and be in class before the exams start. I've been studying most days to past time. So tell me how was all your internships, I want to hear all about them, especially yours Uraraka!" She said, she sounded terrible, like she had a sore throat. I saw her battling a smile on her face. Something wasnt right.

As I observed the room I noticed something that had fallen out of her bag, no, it couldn't be. I had spaced out for lord knows how long until spikey haired boy poked me. I looked up to see everyone had left even Mayumi was outside with them leaning against Deku to walk out. I quickly grabbed the thing off the floor and put it in my school bag before anyone could see me. Instead of walking off with everyone else I ran towards the bathrooms down the hall. I slammed my bag down on the sink bench ripping out the thing from my bag. I picked it up holding it out to get a better look.

"Mayumi is the hooded hero!" I whisper yelled, it all made sense. She was so naturally good at everything in training, she had fast instincts, good quirk use, and somehow knew a lot about heroing shit in class. I quickly shoved it back into my back before running back into Mayumi's room, putting back the costume into her bag. Just as I was about to leave the door opened once again I quickly slid and hid under the bed. Shit shit shit. I turned to the door to see Mayumi's uggs and Dekus red sneakers. Why isn't he with everyone? I pulled out my phone texting spikey boy telling him I went to the bathroom and not to wait up for me as I knew he would've come back to find me.
