Diya's POV-
" I'm ashamed of what I have done Diya but now you shall decide Mrunali's fate! It will be your decision. You have had enough and I won't let anything happen to you EVER AGAIN ",Chaitanya said.
As I opened my eyes,I stepped back, realising how awkward it was..Chaitanya's mouth was wide open, looking at me retreat.
"Diya--"
"Please leave me alone Chaitanya!",I showed him the palm of my hand as he tried to convince me.
"Chaitanya, you need to leave. You're not in any condition to be here," I said ,my  words laced with a mixture of sadness and determination.

Chaitanya's eyes widened in confusion, his brow furrowing in disbelief. "But Diya, I love you," he protested, his words slurring together in a drunken haze.

Tears welled up in my eyes as I shook my head ,my voice choked with emotion. "I know you do, Chaitanya. But love isn't enough. Not when it's overshadowed by pain and betrayal," I whispered,my words barely audible above the sound of the raging storm outside.

Author's POV-

With a heavy heart, Diya guided Chaitanya to the door, her hands trembling as she pushed him gently into the night. As the door closed behind him, she sank to the floor, her body racked with sobs of anguish and despair.

Later that night, as the storm raged on outside, Chaitanya found himself alone with his thoughts, the weight of his guilt bearing down on him.

"I'm sorry, Diya," he whispered into the darkness, his voice tinged with regret and remorse. "I'm sorry for everything I've done to hurt you. I don't deserve your forgiveness, but I'll spend the rest of my life trying to earn it."

Weeks passed by,Chaitanya had left for Mumbai..But his heart ached to see a glimpse of Diya. Every night, her tear-stained face came to his mind as he was consumed by guilt. His eyes welled up with tears ,every time he thought of her.
But he couldn't just give up so easily....She was his..

With passing time, Chaitanya found himself again back to Bangalore, to Diya's apartment as if he was attracted towards as if it were a magnet..
He knocked on her door, twice, thrice but he got no response, he was about to leave the bouquet of flowers he got for her when he heard someone giggle, approaching the door.
It was her.
Diya's smile suddenly vanished as she saw him.

"Why are you here Mr. Raghuvanshi?",she asked, devoid of any emotions.

Chaitanya took a step forward, his gaze never wavering from hers. "I've come to apologize, Diya," he said, his voice soft but resolute. "I know I've hurt you deeply, and for that, I can never forgive myself. But I'm not here to make excuses or ask for your pity. I'm here to ask for a second chance – not just for me, but for us."

Diya's heart skipped a beat at his words, torn between the pain of the past and the glimmer of hope that flickered within her. She wanted to believe him, to trust that he had truly changed, but the wounds he had inflicted ran deep, leaving scars that would never fully heal.

"Chaitanya, I don't know if I can ever trust you again," Diya said, her voice trembling with emotion.
He felt as if someone had attacked his heart with a dagger, he felt pained ,she doesn't trust me!

" How am I supposed to be sure that you won't act the same again?",her eyes fluttered as she held back her tears.

"Why would I repeat what I did before Diya?He held my shoulders as he entered the house."I'm very well aware of the truth ..and I am feeling suffocated due to my past actions..I want you to trust me now!",he whispered. "Just believe me for once.please!"

She nodded.."Give me some time..I need some time to think"

A flicker of hope ignited within Chaitanya's heart as he looked into Diya's eyes, seeing not just the pain and mistrust, but also the glimmer of love and forgiveness that still remained. He knew that winning her back would be a long  journey, but he would never give up on her..NEVER!

Chaitanya's POV-

"This one's good",I pointed at one of the necklaces, sitting on a chair in one of the most expensive jewellery stores in Bangalore.
The lady smiled and continued,"Great choice sir! It's one of a kind..this diamond necklace will cost you around---"
I handed her the card before she could say anything. She nodded

Diya ,I'm coming!

I got out of my car, reaching her apartment and she opened the door.
I was awestruck at her beauty, she looked so exquisite in that red coloured saree, her face had minimal makeup but her beauty was unmatched....
"Let's go?",I came out of my train of thoughts.
"Yeah!",she exhaled

"I have no idea why are you taking me out Chaitanya..I still have to think about it!",she looked around, checking out the restaurant.
I remained silent.
"And it seems quite costly too!",she muttered
I chuckled at her antics.
We had food but there was silence for the whole time.. I cleared my throat seeing her attention as I picked up a red velvet box and passing it to her.
"I have got something for you", I said as she opened the box only to find that diamond studded necklace I had bought for her.But her eyes did not flicker even once, she just simply kept it aside on the table.
"Something wrong?",I asked her

"Thank you, Chaitanya," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "But gifts and grand gestures can't erase the past. I need more than that."

I nodded, my  expressions earnest as I took her hand in mine.

"I know,"I said. "And I'm willing to do whatever it takes to earn back your trust. Just give me a chance, Diya. Please."

Her eyes shone up, she seemed to be content of his commitment as she spoke up,"I believe you, Chaitanya," Diya whispered, her voice barely above a whisper. "And I'm willing to give us another chance."

Author's POV-

A smile broke across Chaitanya's face, radiant and full of hope. With Diya's hand in his and love in his heart, he knew that no matter what the future held, they would face it together, hand in hand, their love stronger than ever before.

With each passing day, Chaitanya made a conscious effort to show Diya that he had truly changed. He listened to her with an open heart and a willingness to understand her pain, never shying away from the difficult conversations that needed to be had.

He showered her with acts of kindness and affection, not out of a desire to buy her forgiveness, but out of a genuine desire to make her happy. He cooked her favorite meals, surprised her with thoughtful gifts, and stood by her side through both the good times and the bad.

As far as Diya was concerned , she was thankful to the stars for making her say that she believed in him, she saw the results it reaped .He had changed for good ,for her. For her, she was living her dream...Chaitanya had turned into someone she always wanted him to be.
