____________________________________The very next day was the overlord meeting. Apparently something came up. Reports of an angel found dead in hell were spreading around like wildfire.
This certainly piqued Crow’s curiosity. From the previous extermination? And why were they just now talking about it? It didn't add up.
Perhaps he would find some newfound information from the meeting. So he would be attending for sure. What he didn't understand was, why it way taking so long for them to host the meeting in the first place.
He decided he wouldn't worry about it. He would probably get answers when he arrives at the meeting. He was walking on the sidewalk. Ignoring the chaos on the streets of hell as it wasn't really his business. Although he still did pity the souls who resided there. They either screwed up their own lives, or someone else did.
Stepping into the meeting room. Most of the overlords were already there. Aside from Vox and Valentino. It seemed they had sent Velvette for the meeting. They were each a team after all.
Crow took his seat in a spare chair in the corner. He didn't really want to sit with all the overlords. Most of it wasn't really attention grabbing until Velvette spoke up. Crow’s grin widened. Carmilla had called Velvette out for her insolence and he had to admit that Velvette could use some humbling. Although Velvette was still onto something. Carmilla was definitely hiding something.
The petite overlord had her reason to have such suspicions. Carmilla was definitely acting like that to protect her daughters. And she even had Zestial’s assistance.
“What do you think Crow?” Velvette asked as they exited the building.
“My opinion is completely neutral. Yes you were harsh, but you were still right. Carmilla definitely knows something about the headless angel. Perhaps there's a way to fight back. I think things might change in hell after all.” he chuckled.
“You actually agree with the princesses ideals?” Velvette bursted out laughing.
“To an extent. Sinners can only be redeemed if that's what they want. Those with negative mindsets will only stay the same. They won't get anywhere.” Crow explained.
“Actually, that's a good point. Haven't thought about it that way.”
“Angel said the same thing. Perhaps my coach in argument is better than the princesses. She should leave me in charge of making announcements from now on.” Crow said. He could seem to get along with everyone aside from Valentino.
“Maybe she won't make a total fool out of herself if you were in charge of them. Anyway, I guess this is where we go our separate ways. See ya later!” Velvette waved before entering the V Tower.
Crow walked back to the hotel and Alastor was waiting for him. “There you are my good pal! I saw you talking to Velvette on your way out of the meeting. Obtain anything useful?”
“Not really. But I think I may have humbled her better than Carmilla has.” Crow chuckled.
After having a conversation with Alastor he went to talk to Charlie. “I’m sure Alastor told you about the overlord meeting?”
“Alastor doesn't tell me anything without a price.” she sighed.
“Luckily I'm more generous. There's a possible way to fight back against the exorcists. Not sure how. But Carmilla is definitely hiding something.” he told her.
“Good luck figuring it out.” Crow said before walking off to his shared bedroom with Angel Dust.
“Ya finally back.” he said as Crow opened the door and closed it behind him.
“Yeah I was walking with Velvette. Overlord matters. You know?”
“Ah, okay. I trust you aren't doing anything that benefits Val?”
“Absolutely not. If I was, I wouldn't have been trying so hard to destroy him.” Crow said, his eyes widening.
“Good point. I know you hate him just as much as I do.” he snickered.
“Oh I don't hate him. I absolutely despise him.”
