Crow didn't realize how intimate he actually could be, until he took his relationship with Crow to the next level.

“I bet Val will hate ya even more after this.” Angel Dust chuckled as he laid his head on Crow’s chest. Crow just closed his eyes and chuckled as he played with Angel Dust’s hair. “Our relationship has nothing to do with that disgusting moth. I promised I'd protect you. I won't let him hurt you again.” Crow said, as he kissed Angel’s head.

“So... Are you still mad about Husk?” Angel asked. “No. I already reminded you that he'll never be as good as me, so I'm satisfied.” Crow grinned even wider than usual after he said that.

“I already knew you were better than him. I actually thought Husk was an asshole at first... But he's actually not that bad.” Angel Dust said with a shrug.

“He saved me from Val’s slut army and he knows what it's like to be... Damaged.” He added.

Crow was damaged too. Angel Dust knew that.

Another day, and there was more work to be done. No pay, no freedom, just another day of slavery.

That didn't hurt as much as being separated from his family. He could barely even remember their faces. His memory of them was truly vague.

“F/N! I thought I told you to feed the chickens!” His master screamed at him. F/N just narrowed his eyes, getting sick of it all.

He was so angry he could just snap the dude’s neck. But he knew he'd regret it if he did. He would be killed if they caught him, and he would have to live that short time feeling guilty. He didn't want anyone's blood on his hands.

“I’m sorry...”

“Did I give you permission to speak?” The man asked, and his breath wreaked of alcohol.

“No? I didn't think so.” he said as F/N shook his head no.

“Get out of my sight or you'll get the beating of a lifetime.” F/N obliged, and his hands formed into fists as he gritted his teeth in anger. All he wanted to do was destroy something. But if he did that, he would instantly regret it. He would be punished.

In this world, there was nowhere to run or hide. There was no such thing as free will, there was no such thing as happiness.

Who would call this living? He thought to himself. I bet hell isn't as bad as this... Maybe there's no reason to live if I can't be happy. He was clearly overthinking, since he was blinded by anger.

Instead of taking someone else's life, perhaps I should take my own. And that... He did.

“Well you know I'm damaged too. I already told you the story before, haven't I? I know what it feels like to be controlled.” Crow said.

Angel nodded. “Yeah, I know... But I mean, having someone own your soul by contract. You own a lot of people's souls Crow.”

“But I'm a man of my word. Not a single person regrets signing their contracts when they decide to work for me.” Crow said. And Angel had to admit that Crow never punished people for going their own way. In fact if Crow was in charge of his soul instead of Valentino... He'd be pretty happy.

“You’re right. Although, you still know I can handle myself, right?” Angel replied.

“Absolutely. But I'll always be here for you anyway.”
