MASON'S POV

About a month ago, y/n pulled a prank on me and I remember saying I would take my revenge. I think now might be the time. I knew exactly what to do.

I sneaked in my sister's room and grabbed a makeup palette, i went into my room and watched a couple videos on how to make a fake hickey.

I applied the makeup on my neck and one on my collarbone, two is enough I guess. I know y/n is gonna come over soon to say goodbye, since I will be travelling tomorrow and it's perfect timing, I can't wait to get her back for all the times she made my heart drop ahah.

Ding dong

"MASON IT'S FOR YOU" Brooke shouted from downstairs.

I put on a hoodie and put the makeup stuff back into Brooke's room, on the way i put on some cheap body mist that absolutely reeks a sort of floral sent. I went back to my room and laid down on my bed, acting asleep.

As she walks into the room, I can feel her presence even before I open my eyes. The soft click of the door, the subtle shuffle of her steps, it's all too familiar. I keep my breathing steady, pretending to be asleep, curious about what she might do next.

I sense her nearing me, her warmth radiating in the air. I can almost smell her perfume mingling with the comforting scent of my room. A gentle touch brushes against my cheek, and then her lips, soft and tender, press against my skin in a loving kiss. It's a sweet sensation that rouses me from my faux slumber.

Opening my eyes just a crack, I catch a glimpse of her face, so close to mine. Her eyes meet mine with a mixture of affection and mischief. But before I can savor the moment, her words jolt me back to reality.

"Why do you smell all girly?" she asks, her tone teasing but curious.

Panic sets in as I try to come up with a plausible explanation without giving away my act.

"Oh, uh, maybe my sister borrowed my hoodie," I blurt out, my voice still groggy from pretending to sleep.

I hope she buy my excuse, hoping my fake snooze doesn't turn into a real interrogation.

Her disbelief is palpable as she leans in closer, her nose almost touching mine. I can feel her breath against my skin as she takes in my scent with more scrutiny.

"I've never smelled this before on Brooke, maybe it's new" she remarks, her voice now tinged with suspicion.

Her eyes narrow slightly as she searches for any sign that might confirm or refute my explanation.

I try to maintain composure, mentally scrambling for a plausible follow-up.

"Maybe it's a new detergent she used?" I suggest, trying not to smile.

the look in her eyes tells me she's not convinced. She's always been perceptive, especially when it comes to scents and details. I curse inwardly at my lack of foresight, wishing I had prepared a better cover story.

With a playful grin, I tease,

"Aw, you're so cute when you're jealous," as I pull her into a tight hug.
