Today the flag was captured, none of us were happy about it, especially not after mom told us about her dream. We were all scared for my mother, some of us had been trying, others wanting to go and rescue her, but Chiron wouldn't let us.

I was pissed, I didn't want to play this stupid war game, I wanted to go help my mother, but I knew that when there would be a quest to retrieve her, I wouldn't be allowed to go, mom would never let me.

Chiron's hoof thundered on the pavilion floor as he was ready to explain the rules.

"Heroes!" he called. "You know the rules! The creek is the boundary line. Blue team, Camp Half-Blood, shall take the west woods. Hunters of Artemis, red team, shall take the east woods. I will serve as referee and battlefield medic. No intentional maiming, please! All magic items are allowed. To your positions!"

We all immediately went towards the east woods, we already prepared a plan so we could win. We positioned our silver flag and we got into a few groups, leaving three hunters to guard the flag.

"Carmilla and I will get their flag since we are the fastest, if the other teams need more back up two of you will come to help and Bianca will stay back to guard the flag, understood?" she said as she looked at the three hunters that will guard the flag, who all nodded.

Now the games begin.

Mom and I immediately sprinted, we went to the edge of the forest first so they wouldn't notice us, at one point i even climbed a tree to not be spotted.

Not long after we saw the flag, it was at the top of Zeus's Fist. It's this cluster of boulders in the middle of the west woods that, if you look at it just the right way, looks like a huge fist sticking out of the ground.

It looked difficult to climb, but the hunters and I climbed worse, it looked like child's play to us.

There were a few campers guarding it, including Nico, but they wouldn't be so difficult to deal with. Mom looked at me and I nodded, both of us going in different directions.
