TW: self-harm mentions.

Time skip to a month later, Ana has stayed off school with Lucy's permission for a couple weeks and her first day back is today, Tamara and Ana have been sharing Tamara's room but Tamara is moving out next week. Lucy still hasn't firgured out about Ana's cuts and she is glad for that as it's been getting worse and she can't stop. She knows she should tell Lucy but she just can't bring herself to tell her.

It's the morning of Ana's first day back at school, she wakes up at 6:30am and slowly gets out of bed, taking her outfit with her to the bathroom to get ready. Her outfit today is just some plain light blue loose jeans with a baby pink longsleeved top. It's getting warmer out so she's having to find new ways to cover her arms that's not just with hoodies. She's afraid Lucy or even Tim or Tamara might catch on, but Tamara's almost fully moved out and Tim doesn't pay that much attention (she thinks??).

Once she is dressed, she does her hair and makeup as usual, just slower because she's not used to being up this early even though it's only been a few weeks since she's been to school. Ana really hopes the news has been spread or she wouldn't be able to stand going in. At around 7am Ana exits the bedroom and grabs an apple for her breakfast. "Is that it? You don't want anything more?" Lucy asks Ana wondering if she's just nervous about going back. "Yeah, I'm scared to go back to school and I don't want to eat too much, I feel sick kind of" Lucy right away understands and nods with a soft smile.

Lucy drops Ana off at school, she's worried about her but is trying not to. She watches Ana enter the school building then drives off to work. Meanwhile inside, Ana is facing a lot of looks, she isn't entirely sure they're aimed at her but there's a strong gut feeling that they are. She goes trying to look for her friends, once she spots them she walks over but they just laugh and walk away. The news must've got out, great. She thinks to herself, she just has to get through the day.

Ana's day passes dreadfully slow, it only reaches break by the time she's sick of all these looks. She couldn't take it so decided to call Lucy, it was a long shot, but maybe could work out in her favour. Ana heads over to her locker and grabs her phone out her bag to call Lucy who picks up right away shockingly. "Ana? What's wrong are you okay?" She hears from the other side of the phone. "Uh can you please pick me up from school?" Ana asks quietly, hoping for a yes. "Ana you know I can't just do that, im busy on patrol. Is it really that important?"

Lucy wants Ana to stay in school to get a good job for herself, but it is her first day back after over a month. Maybe if she wasn't so busy she could go get her. Maybe she could send someone from the station she thinks to herself. "I'll send someone from the station I'll text who it will be, go sit at the office" Ana automatically thanks Lucy and grabs her stuff and speed walks to the office.

A while later Ana gets a message saying Angela will pick her up from school. Right on que, she walks into the school and heads to the office saying "I'm here to pick Ana Chen up and take her home," the woman replies "What is your relation to Ana Chen?" Angela answers "I work with her sister, she is busy right now and asked me to collect her," Ana decides to walk over to back Angela up as the woman didn't look like she was believing her.

After a bit of talking, Angela and Ana walk out to the car. "Thank you for getting me, sorry for disturbing your work" Ana seems to say anxiously, she hasn't been around Angela much but she is a nice woman. "Its okay don't worry Ana, I'll have to take you back to the station though. Your sister wants to talk to you," Ana nods in return as they pull into Mid-Wilshire. Both women walk through the precinct and Ana heads to the break room to sit quietly, she just wanted some space. She doesn't know if she will ever feel normal again, whatever that may be.
