The day went on pretty normal actually. Jungkook and I watched a few movies, ate popcorn, took Bam out for a walk around the park. We ordered take out and watched a couple of funny videos.

At this moment, we were sitting on the couch. Jungkook had brought out a bottle of wine for us. Soft music played in the background.

"Amara, can I ask you something?"

"Mhm" I hummed while taking a sip of wine.

"Can you tell me about your life before you became a vampire?"

"We're going there now?" I giggled.

"I wanna know. Please?"

I looked at the glass of wine in my hand, "Okay." I set the glass on the table before facing Jungkook. "I was born back in the 1800's. I was happy. I never had to worry about money because I lived a wealthy life. My father had his own business while my mother stayed home and took care of me. They gave me the best education money could buy. Since I was an only child. I was spoiled when I was a kid. Until I reached thirteen. I started to earn the things I wanted. My dad told me that sometimes if I want something, I had to earn it. I actually enjoyed working for the things I wanted. I helped the maids clean. Helped the cooks cook. I always had amazing grades and sometimes I helped my father at work."

"Interesting. What were your parents like?"

"They were great, caring, and loving people. Up until one day..."

He pushed my hair back and said, "What happened?"

I sighed and said, "One day my father called me up to his studies. They told me I was to be married to another wealthy man named Nicholas-"

"Wait a sec. You were married?!"

"Just listen." He nodded his head for me to continue. "It was an arrange marriage. I didn't want to but in that day in age, I had too. My parents and I got into the biggest argument about it. We argued for days, and they said I had no choice."

He narrowed his eyes, "So you married this Nicholas guy?"

"Yeah" I whispered. "He actually wasn't bad. He was kind to me. He never forced things onto me that I didn't like. Or treated me like some property. Some men in those time tend to do that when they marry an heirs. He was handsome and a very nice gentlemen. He treated me with respect."

"Did you...." I could see nervously gulp before saying, "Love him?"

"At first no. I actually couldn't stand him. Within time I ended up falling for him." I could see a small bit of jealousy in his face.

"Hmm."

"And like all married folks in the 1800's. We had to have a child."

Jungkook's eyes widened in shock. His mouth was agape, and just stared at me. My mouth felt dry as I waited for him to say something.

"Y-You..."

I nodded my head, "My parents kept pressuring us to have a child. Someone to inherit the business, money, and properties we owned."

"So what happened?"

"After Nicholas and I talked it out very carefully we decided to have a child. Nine months later Nadia was born."

"That's a beautiful name" he smiled.

"Thank you. It means 'Hope'. Nicholas and I absolutely adored Nadia. She was our heart."

Tears brimmed my eyes. Jungkook gently took my hand into his. Gently squeezing it. Pain creeped up to my heart. No matter how long it's been, I still missed her. I was still hurt from the past.
