Mile made his way down the aisle, with Apo following closely behind. Banyen held Apo back, instructing him to wait until Mile reached the stage.

As soon as Mile reached the stage, he was ordered to join him there. He took slow steps, glancing at the faces of their relatives. They all appeared vulnerable and forced, just like them.

Some of the relatives even gave him a murderous glare. Apo quickly looked away and made his way onto the stage. The priest also seemed emotional. Apo was puzzled. Was the priest also being coerced to be here?

This was the same priest who had presided over their parents' wedding. He offered a faint smile at Apo as he stood next to Mile. Despite reaching out his hands, Apo noticed that Mile was lost in his thoughts.

Mile snapped back to reality when Chai called his name into the microphone. Apo glanced at Chai, feeling a surge of hatred and disgust. Chai was seated in the front row, holding the microphone. Behind him, their parents sat quietly.

Mile took Apo's hands, causing Apo to momentarily pause. Their hands felt uneven as Apo's mind drifted back to a troubling memory. A night when it was just him and Mile, alone. The memory of Mile on top of him, calling out his name, moving with animal pace. Apo tried to push away the intrusive memory. Not now.

Apo scolded himself for zoning out, refocusing his attention on the priest. The music started playing, a smooth and calming melody filling the room. The priest proceeded with the vows.

"Do you, Mile Phakphum Romsaithong, take him as your husband?" the priest asked in a steady tone. Mile remained silent, and suddenly a gunshot rang out, causing panic and confusion among the guests.

"Mile, answer yes. I SAID ANSWER HIM," Chai demanded sternly.

"Yes, I do," Mile immediately replied. Apo felt a surge of anger towards Chai for his behaviour towards Mile. Holding their hands tightly together, Apo couldn't help but feel sorry for Mile. This was all Chai's fault.

The priest continued with the ceremony. "Do you, Apo Nattawin Romsaithong, take him as your husband?" the priest asked.

"I do," Apo said firmly, making a silent vow to himself to support Mile in overcoming his fears. Mile deserved to live his own life, free from Chai's control.

Applause filled the place, though it was evident that no one was truly happy for them. The priest concluded the ceremony, and Apo led Mile away, wanting to leave as soon as possible.

As they started to walk down the aisle, heading towards the exit, everyone stood up, assuming they were going elsewhere. Apo guided Mile towards the garage, eager to escape the oppressive atmosphere. But just as they were about to leave, Chai called out their names, halting their exit.

Apo continued walking towards his car. He was determined to endure until the marriage was officially over and he could leave. His family followed closely behind. Mile hesitated, remaining outside the car.
