Pairing: Captain John Price x GN!Reader
It was rare for you to wake up before Price. Most mornings he was up and making breakfast long before you rolled out of bed. Today seemed to be one of the rare ones.
Sunlight poured in through the curtains and basked the room in a golden glow. You pushed yourself up before you realized there was warmth next to you. Price was still asleep next to you.
The sun basked Price's face with the same golden glow as the rest of the room. He looked heavenly.
You laid staring at your husband for a while before he finally stirred awake. A quiet groan left his mouth as he stretched before his eyes cracked open.
"Good morning, captain," you hum with a smile, leaning down to press a soft kiss to his forehead. "Did you sleep well?"
"G'mornin' love," Price hums, sleep still evident in his voice as he pulled you down for a kiss. "Slept good."
You ran your hand through his beard as you traded kisses. Price chased your lips every time you pulled away, mumbling quiet protests each time. He pulled you closer to him, nuzzling under your chin and taking a deep breath.
"We need to get up John," you laugh quietly, running a hand through his hair. "Can't stay in bed all day."
Price groaned into your neck, hugging you tighter in response. You laughed again, running your nails over his scalp. Maybe you could take a few more minutes with him. These chances were rare- you might as well take advantage of it.
