HOPE'S PEAK ACADEMY was supposed to be no more than a last resort.
A school known for only recruiting those with the most exceptional of abilities, most high school students would have jumped at the opportunity of a guaranteed spot a Hope's Peak Academy.
However, for Mayumi, it had merely been a means to an end. A final grasp for her unfeeling family's heed; a way to pump her chest full of something other than the hollow sensation that had ebbed at it for years now.
Well, at least, that's what was supposed to happen.
Her agenda rapidly comes unraveling when, on the first day, the silver spoon troublemaker finds herself imprisoned in the academy with fifteen other students.
Confined by not just the metal slates covering the windows, the mechanical bear who declares himself headmaster of this demented school and nefarious rules he declares they must follow if they wish to escape but the amalgam of hope and despair that ensnares each and every one of them . . . . Mayumi is certainly going to find more than even she bargained for.
