First Meeting

First Person POV

A pretty girl with large front teeth like that of a bunny opened the door, whom I instantly recognized as Nayeon. I've been following Twice since their debut, of course I know all the members.

The two of us walked inside and the 9 girls were scattered throughout the living room.

"Is that the food delivery?!" A familiar voice shouted from across the room without sparing a look at the door, it was Momo.

The manager started speaking, introducing me since I was way too anxious to do it myself.

"Hello girls, this is a new member that's going to be part of Twice starting today. Her name is Y/n." He said as he looked towards me. I raised my hand and waved, chuckling awkwardly and smiling as sweetly as I could.

The 9 girls looked at me in confusion. Oh god, looks like they hadn't been informed about this decision either.

"What do you mean? New member? We haven't been informed about anything of this sort." A loud and powerful voice boomed through the room. It was Twice's leader, Jihyo. She seemed quite scary in person and had a dominating aura surrounding her.

I shuddered in my spot and grit my teeth in fear. I awkwardly looked at the manager, waiting for him to explain.

"Do you girls not check your mailbox or email at all?" He sighed as he walked towards the table which had a bunch of letters on them. He went through them until he reached a completely blank letter. He tore it open and it was a hand-written letter from Mr. Park himself. He handed it over to Jihyo to read and started explaining.

"Mr. Park believes that Y/n here can help Twice grow internationally. Yes, the decision is a bit... unique, to add a new member to a group that already debuted 3 years ago but he believes in the potential of this young woman and is firm that she will make twice known worldwide."

He spoke of me so highly as if I was a world-class dancer or singer or something, while all I am is someone with mixed ethnicity. The girls continued to listen to him intently while Jihyo read the letter. Once she was done, she snapped the letter close, drawing everyone's attention to her.

"Well, if it's Mr. Park's decision then who are we to question it? Welcome to Twice, Y/n." She said with a gentle smile on her face, making me somewhat relieved. At least I'd been accepted by one of the nine members.

Soon, the manager left me alone with the nine girls who were looking at me like hungry beasts, ready to feast upon their prey. They were eyeing me from head to toe, taking in every detail about their new member meticulously. But Jihyo quickly realised how uncomfortable I was getting so she broke the silence.

"Tell us more about yourself, Y/n. If we're gonna be in the same group, we need to get to know each other, right?" She smiled warmly.

My heartbeat decreased, I felt at ease in her presence. She really like is a goddess, she can make you feel so peaceful in such a tense situation.

"Hi, so I'm Y/n and I'm now a part of your group. Crazy, sudden decision, I know. So, I'd actually auditioned as a trainee for JYP Entertainment and passed. When I came for the interview procedure, the person to interview me was Mr. Park himself and he told me how I could help Twice grow internationally. He asked me whether I wanted to be a part of your group, and you guys have always been my idols so... I couldn't refuse, obviously. It'd always been a dream for me to dance and sing alongside you guys, and now it's come true. I know it's probably shocking for all of you and I know that you guys have a special friendship which I'm not a part of because I just arrived. That's totally fine, I don't need to be a part of that if you all don't want me to. I just hope we can all be on friendly terms for the remainder of our contract. That's all, really."
