Banditkit awoke to Ferretwhisper prodding her with her paw "Hmm?" she meowed.
"Why were you sleeping with me in my nest instead of with Willowsplash in the nursery?" She questioned, looking at this kit.
"Willowsplash was being mean, and she hurt me." Banditkit showed her the reopened wound on her neck.
"She would never, she loves kits! Are you sure that you didn't dream that? Coalkit and Silentkit probably did that" She replied, defending Willowsplash.
"Banditkit, where are you?" Willowsplash hissed, she sounded mad.
"She's looking for you, don't keep her looking!" Ferretwhisper meowed nudging Banditkit with her nose.
Banditkit felt so unheard, for once in her life. She felt ignored. "But Ferretwhisper!" She meowed.
"I'll treat your wound once you head out there and tell her you're okay, Banditkit, okay?" She meowed, nudging her again.
Banditkit heaved her way out of the den, approaching Willowsplash "Right here..." She sighed, looking down at the ground dreadfully as she queen went to pick her up.
Willowsplash carelessly let Banditkit dangle while she held her, Banditkit winced, flailing around. "Banditkit! Stop that right this instant you mousebrain!" she hissed, biting Banditkit.
"That hurts! That hurts!" Banditkit mewed helplessly.
"Does it look like I care?" Willowsplash retorted, frustrated with how the kit was acting. "Now go play with Coalkit and Silentkit while I get them their prey" she hissed.
"What about me, are you going to feed me?" Banditkit mewed.
Willowsplash grimaced at the kit "No, you can provide for yourself!" she hissed.
Banditkit looked at the queen, how did cats think so fondly of her?
"No I can't!" She meowed.
"Yes you can! Now quit complaining and grab prey from the fresh kill pile yourself, you're 5 moons old!" She yowled, clawing at her nose.
Banditkit winced again "Okay, okay!" She mewed.
Banditkit watched as the she-cat walked off, leaving her in the nursery, her nose bleeding. She laid down, staring at the ground.
"How could you guys love her as your mother so much! Don't you see how she's treating me, just stand up for me, once, just once! I miss Fogleap!" She yowled "It's not fair, it's not fair, IT IS NOT FAIR!" She cried, glaring at Coalkit and Silentkit.
"You are 5 moons, we're 3 moons, what do you expect from us?" Coalkit retorted, biting at Banditkit's paws.
"Y-yeah!" Silentkit repeated, obviously not knowing which side to take.
"All of you cats are treating me like a mousebrained warrior!" She hissed.
"No we aren't, you're just acting mousebrained!" Coalkit hissed.
"Did you two even pay attention to what she did to me?" She cried "Any reasonable cat can see what she's doing to me is wrong! Just accept it as a fact!" She yowled, slashing across Coalkit's back.
Coalkit let out a loud cry "Mama! Mama!" He cried, Willowsplash darted into the den.
"Banditkit, what did you do to him! That's it!" She slashed Banditkit across her face, hissing. Banditkit covered her head, Willowslash bit her back. "You do not hurt my kits, you stupid mousebrain!"
Banditkit winced, crying. She darted into the clearing, hiding in a bush. She saw a thin tortishell figure approach her, she covered her head thinking it was Willowsplash. Next thing she knew the she-cat picked her up, setting her down in the clearing.
"What happened, Banditkit?" She heard the voice of Lost forest, uncovering her face, sobbing.
"W-Willowsplash... S-she attacked me" Banditkit sniffled, sobbing.
"No... My littermate, she would never!" Lost forest meowed, calling over the she-cat.
"Oh my! What happened, Banditkit?" Willowsplash meowed, acting worried. "Who did this to her?"
"See, she didn't-" Lost forest was cut off by Banditkit "None of you guys believe me, they never believe the kit, instead they force her to move clans, they don't help her, they don't let her heal!" Banditkit yowled, running out of the camp, still sobbing.
"No, Banditkit, wait!" Lost forest meowed
Banditkit ran for about an hour, approaching the same bridge she had crossed when she had traveled to Windclan, she crossed it, still in shock from what had happened. Her paws ached, she needed a rest, so she walked into a bush and laid down. She sobbed quietly, she eventually caught the scent of a Riverclan patrol. Panicked, she looked around for them from the safety of the bush.
It was Pikepaw, Lichenpaw, Milkheart, and Bearslash.
"I think I smell Windclan, it's fresh" Bearslash meowed, turning back to the 3 other cats "Pikefern, Lichenreed, Milkheart, continue patrolling the border, I'll follow the scent"
Banditkit panicked, Bearslash would probably kill her if he found her, her best chance was to either run back to Windclan or to Riverclan camp, maybe even to reveal herself. She froze, she watched as Bearslash followed the scent. He eventually got to her.
"Banditkit, what are you doing here?" He meowed, surprised. "Go back to Windclan now or you'll be in the territories of Starclan!" He hissed, Banditkit froze, unable to speak, he was giving her a chance? No, if she tried to run or walk back he'd stop her and kill her anyways, she needed to escape, and fast.
"I was just taking a breather outside of camp..." Banditkit meowed "I uhm... Overheard that Pikepaw and Lichenpaw are now warriors"
"If you heard that, refer to them by their warrior names!" he hissed, making Banditkit jump, but he was distracted, this was the perfect chance for her to run.
Banditkit turned around, running off towards the back of a twoleg nest, circling around it. She ran across the bridge, she was now back in Windclan territories. Instead of heading back to camp she ran towards the Thunderpath, she ran straight across the first half of it, right afterwards a monster went zooming by, this made her panic. She looked both ways, running across the thunderpath. She ran, finding an abandoned fox den and hiding inside.
She fell asleep in the fox den, exhausted. She shot up, hearing heavy footsteps in the dirt. "Lost forest?" She meowed, next thing she knew she saw a twoleg kit, it cornered her inside the den, picking her up.
The twoleg kit actually treated her with care, however. Which made her feel comfortable, although she was still terrified.
She eventually arrived at the twoleg's nest, and as the kit set her down inside, she darted out. crossing the thunderpath and hiding in a different abandoned fox den, falling asleep.
