Elizabeth's POV

The bright sun beams down in the blue water of the pool, reflecting a blinding light into my eyes. I shield my eyes from the torturing sun and walk over to where light music is playing, Dev is laying on a beach chair, Lili laying beside her in her own little beach chair. Freshly 6, she feels the need to copy everything my little sister does.

"You're blocking our sun, Beth." My sister groans, squinting her eyes at me. I cross my arms and fake a surprised gasp, "Oh I am so sorry madames, please excuse me." I cry, getting a little giggle from Lili.

Dev rolls her eyes, "What?" Her tone is annoying. "Calm down dear sister. I just wanted to see how my favourite human was doing?" I sit down next to my daughter who scolds me for blocking her sun. "I'll pretend that I didn't take offense to that." She rolls onto her stomach, smashing her face into her pillow.

"Did you put sunscreen on?" I ask, rubbing circles on her back, seeing how tan she has gotten this summer. She nods her head, "Concetta put some on me before we came out." She hums. I nod, pushing her hair off of her back, "Ok, well don't stay out for too much longer." I tell my daughter, knowing very well she'll get bored in a few minutes and beg Devani to get into the water with her.

"Ok fun sponge go back inside." My sister shoos me away as she turns onto her back, Lili doing the same, peeking out of her sunglasses to give Dev a glance so she can position herself on her chair like Dev.

She gives me a quick glance and smiles at me sweetly before letting her eyelids flutter shut, her hands going to her sides. Dev opens one of her eyes and looks at me expectantly, "You got nothing to do?" She asks in a condescending tone.

"I have things to do, I need to go get groceries. I'll be back." I inform them both but I know they don't really hear me.

To my surprise Dev gives me a thumbs up and proceeds to not say anything else so I take that as my cue to leave. Oh how I feel so loved by my sister.

I walk back into the house, the fresh air being replaced with less fresh air... with maybe a hint of some sort of Victoria Secret body spray.

"Madame, where are you going?" Her voice has slowly gotten more annoying over these past few months I swear.

"Shopping. Concetta!" I respond to the girl while calling out to the older woman who is somewhere in the house cleaning something most likely. I walk further into the house, her small heels clicking as she trots after me.

"Concetta dove sei?" I call again, shuffling around the kitchen counter into the dining room. "Madame," Her voice follows me but I keep walking, my strides lengthening a bit.

"Concetta porfa dove sei?" I plead with the older woman, coming back into the foyer so that I may go up the stairs.

"Elizabeth!" She almost shrieks. I stop dead in my tracks, spinning on my heel to face the fragile blonde that was much closer then I presumed she was. I was already up a few steps but she didn't dare follow me up the stairs, her feet were planted on the floor, her eyes looking up at me.

No one but Ari calls me Elizabeth. No one has the right to say my name unless they earn it. Florence has definitely not deserved it. She has been nothing but a pest for the past few months after Ari left. She's trying to reintegrate herself into my daily routine but I can't stand to hear her voice let alone look at her pathetic eyes.

"I told you I'm going shopping, Ms. James." I keep my voice low and calm, I really don't need her to start yapping in my ear, I'm not in the mood.

"May I come with you?" Her eyes avert from my gaze and land on her shoes, she doesn't fool me anymore.
