CHAPTER 5
OUTSIDE THE MEETING ROOM
Outside the meeting room, as Jungkook and Y/N part ways, Jungkook can't resist the urge to indulge in a bit of playful banter with the formidable CEO.
Jungkook : grinning mischievously " Well, Y/N, i must say, it's been a pleasure meeting you. Although, I must admit, I expected a bit more excitement from someone as charming as yourself."
Y/N's eyes narrow slightly at his teasing tone, a hint of annoyance flickering in her gaze.
Y/N's : coolly "Flattery will get you nowhere, Jungkook. I'm here to discuss business , not to indulge in your games."
Jungkook chuckles softly, underterred by her sharp retort.
Jungkook : smirking "Oh, come on, Y/N. Where's your sense of adventure? Surely, a little bit of playful banter never hurt anyonr."
with a curt nod, Y/N turns on her heel and strides away, leaving Jungkook to watch her retreating figure with a mixture of amusement and admiration.
As she disappears around the corner, Jungkook can't help but feel a twinge of regret at having pushed her buttons too far. But even as he watches her go, he knows that their paths will cross again-perhaps sooner than either of them expects.
With a wistful smile, Jungkook murmurs to himself, "Until we meet again, beautiful," before turning to head back to his own office, his mind already buzzing with thoughts of their next encounter.
TIME SKIPS
Y/N's POV
Y/N storms down the hallway of her office building, her frustration palpable as she mutters angerily to herself. Her secretary trails behind her, eyeing her with concern and confusion.
Secretary : tentatively "Um, Ms.Y/N, is everything alright?"
Y/N : fuming "No, everything is not alright! that infuriating, arrogate, overly flirtations jerk has gotten under my skin!"
Secretary : taken aback "Uh, jerk?"
Y/N : not listening, continuing her rant "And don't even get me started on his incessant flirting! Does he think he's charming or something? Because let me tell you, it's not working!"
Secretary : trying to keep up "Um who are you talking about?"
Y/N : ignoring the question "And the way he struts around like he owns the place , with that smug grin plastered on his face..Ugh, it's enough to make me want to rip my hair out!"
Secretary : growing more concerned "Ms.Y/N, I really think you should-"
Y/N : cutting her off "And don't even get me started on his so-called 'business proposals..' As if anyone would take him seriously with those ridiculous ideas!"
Secretary : tentatively "Um, meybe you should take a break and-"
Y/N : still ranting "And the worst part is, he's everywhere! it's like he's haunting me or something. I can't escape him!"
Secretary : quietly "Ms.Y/N, i think you're scaring the interns..."
Y/N finally pauses in her tirade, realizing that she's attracted quite a bit of attention from the other employees in the hallway. She takes a deep breath, trying to compose herself.
Y/N : forcing a smile "Ahem, sorry about that. Just a little...frustration venting. Let's get back to work, shall we?"
The secretary nods, relieved that the outburst seems to have passed, but still keeping a wary eye on her boss as they make their way to Y/N's office. As for Y/N, she can't shake the feeling that no matter how hard she tries, Jungkook's presence seems to linger in the air,taunting her with his infuriating charm and unrelenting flirtation.
TIME SKIPS
As Jungkook goes about his daily routine, his mind consumed with throughts of Y/N, he suddenly feels a strange sensation wash over him. it starts as a tingling at the base of his spine, then spreads throughout his body, like electricity coursing through his veins. Sensing something out of the ordinary, he instinctively closes his eyes, allowing himself to surrender to the sensation.
in that moment, Black, Jungkook's wolf, emerges from the depths of his consciousness, his presence a comforting and familiar presence. Black's deep , rumbling voice echoes in Jungkook's mind , filling him with a sense of awe and wonder.
"Black", Jungkook whispers, his voice barely a breath. "What is it? What's happening?"
Black's response is immediate, his tone tinged with excitement and anticipation. "Jungkook, my buddy , my alpha, I have news of great importance. You and Y/N, the woman who has captured your heart, are destined to be mates."
Jungkook's heart skips a beat at Black's words, his mind reeling with the implications of what he's just been told. Y/N, his mate? It's a revelation that both terrifies and exhilarates him, filling him with a sense of longing and desire he's never experienced before.
"My old friend , care to explain why you didn't alert me sooner about Y/N ?" Jungkook asks, his voice trembling with emotion.
Black : "My apologies, alpha. I sensed her presence the moment she entered the room, but i did not want to distract you from the matters at hand".
Jungkook nods, understanding Black's reasoning but unable to shake the feeling of frustrstion at being caught off guard by Y/N's unexpected presence.
Jungkook : "I appreciate your discretion, black , but next timr, please don't hesitate to inform me. We need to be prepared for any surprises that comes our way".
Black : "Understood, kook. i will be more vigilant in the future."
With that, the connection between Jungkook and Black fades, leaving Jungkook to ponder the implications of Y/N's sudden appearance and the role she may play in his future endeavors. And as he stares out at the city skyline, he knows that with Black by his side, he will always be ready to face whatever challenges come his way .
