          THE FIRST LESSON of SLT's was over and Malakai was still confused, it was his first day at a new school and he was on some sex map? and even after all that Eden was ignoring him for no reason, Malakai thought out of everything he would be happy to see her after their fling in the holidays.

"Eden, Eden!" Malakai shouted trying to get the girl's attention in the hall before catching up to her, Efen looked around making sure no one was watching before pulling him into a random janitor's cupboard.

"What the fuck are you doing here?!" Eden Asked the boy in a slight panic, to which the boy's smile dropped.

"What do you mean?" Malakai asked not understanding why she wasn't more excited to see him.

"At my school Malakai, what else do you think I mean." She started being more clear, their summer together was great and all but she never expected to see him here.

"My dad got a job down here. Also, what's your problem why are you ignoring me and being so weird and what is a sex map." Malakai asked her and he watched her as she rubbed her hands over her face frustrated.

"Well firstly I never expected to see you again so sue me for being a little surprised and second the sex map is something this girl in our year made, you know the one you were literally sitting next to in sluts That's why they were all calling her map bitch and not to mention our names are literally connected." Eden rambled trying to catch him up quickly.

"and the problem is?-" the boy asked before she quickly cut him off.

"No one was supposed to know," Eden said quickly not even realizing what she had said, to this comment Malakai's face dropped and Eden could see this.

"Okay then.." Malakai began trailing off his hand reaching out and opening the door of the cupboard.

"wait no that's not what I meant," Eden tried to tell him but it was too late the boy was already halfway down the hall. Eden groaned whilst out her head in her hands before quickly looking around to check if anyone had seen the two in the closet but she couldn't see anyone.

But what Eden didn't know was that Spider had seen the whole thing.

Eden was dreading going home, the whole way home all she could think about was the fact she knew her parents would be there and to top it all off she knew she was going to be in trouble. Eden always thought it was quite ironic that every time her parents were home they would be nagging on her for something she had done.

As the girl opened the front door she was holding her breath just waiting for someone to shout her name but they hadn't, Eden tried to shut the door behind her silently not paying that much attention but then.

"Eden!" The girl heard her dad shout, "Come here me and your mother need to speak to you." Eden could feel her heart drop. Normally it was just her mother getting her in trouble but now her dad's here too.

Eden slowly made her way through their house into the kitchen where her mother and father were sitting. Her dad was dressed in a suit and tie and drinking a coffee, he had probably just got back from work Eden though whilst her mum was standing in trousers and a button-up blouse.

"Hey Dad, so happy to see you home," Eden told him with a smile trying to soften whatever was about to happen, but her dad just rubbed his temples with his hands clearly frustrated.

"Eden drop the act." her mother chimed in causing the girls to smile to fade.

"Why is it when I'm at work, trying to get through an important meeting I get a phone call from your high school saying that you are a part of some sex map?" Her dad asked her, it was clear he was trying to keep his cool but he was one step away from losing it.

"It's not what you think-" Eden started trying to justify what she was going to say before her dad cut her off.

"Then what is it, Eden, please fucking explain it to me because I don't understand. You're supposed to be a good child you used to play football which you loved by the way, and you used to never get in trouble at school and now I'm getting phone calls from the school saying you're on a sex map, skipping school and doing god knows what." He told her.

At that point Eden couldn't even defend herself she felt the lump growing in her throat and the tears building up in her eyes all she could do was stand there as she looked between her parents both giving her looks of disappointment. "I'm sorry" was all that Eden could say.

"You know what, I don't want to hear it- just go to your room." Her Dad told her shaking his head. Eden couldn't have gotten out of the room faster as the tears began to spill, she ran up to her room and slammed her door shut not even caring anymore.

Standing in her room the girl began to pace back and forth, hundreds of thoughts running through her head but one that she was always thinking about. Eden always imagined her life without her mum and dad a life without no problems essentially. sometimes she felt guilty for thinking like that because they were her parents she was supposed to love them, but were they? they were never here most of the time and when they were she wasn't even able to spend time with them with them finding something to complain about.

As the girl's thoughts began to get louder and louder she sat down on the floor at the end of her bed and pulled up her sleeve which left her looking down at her wrist, where there were a couple of faint white lines.

A couple of years ago when Eden's parents started leaving her on her own whilst they were going away for work and other things, Eden felt isolated and she coped with that in her own ways however when her parents found out they flipped. Not in a way of wanting to her their daughter who was clearly struggling but in a way they didn't want anyone finding out.

That night at dinner it was beyond awkward her parents tried to make small talk with her but Eden wasn't having it. Eden had barely touched her food and her mother watched on as she continued to move it around her plate.

"Eden please eat your food and stop playing with it you're not a child." Edens's mother asked slightly fed up with Edens's pettiness, Eden gave up at that point and shovelled her food into her mouth.

"Are you happy now?" Eden asked. to which her mother responded with an eye roll and shaking her head. The family had finished their dinner but just as Eden's mother was about to bring out the desserts Eden asked to be excused from the table.

"Don't you want dessert, Eden? it's chocolate brownies" Her mother called out.

"Yeah, you used to love it when you were a child!" Her father reassured her.

"Well, I'm not a child anymore," Eden told him before pushing out of her seat and making her way back to her room.

That night before falling asleep all Eden could think of was the good times they had together, well the few they had when she was younger.
