The Other Scrubb

Chapter 4

We all had left the ruins of Cair Paravel and were on the beach again.

"Look it's a boat" I said

We all watched in shock as the two men picked up what I assume was a dwarf who was all bound in ropes and were about to throw him in the water. Suddenly Susan and I picked up our bow and arrows and fired at the boat.(I had gotten a sword, a bow and arrows and some daggers from the ruins of Cair Paravel)

"DROP HIM" Susan shouted at the men

"Really Susan I don't think that was the best choice in words!" I exclaimed

"Oh shut up" she said playfully

We watched as the two men looked at us and tossed the dwarf into the water. Susan shot one of the men while I shot the other. Peter dived down to save the dwarf. While he was doing that Edmund went and got the boat. Once Peter and the dwarf had made it back to shore Lucy cut the bonds on the dwarf's hands and he took the gag off and began coughing up water.

"DROP HIM!?! That's the best you could come up with?" The now angry dwarf shouted at Susan

"A simple thank you would suffice" Susan replied to the dwarf

"They were doing fine drowning me without you help." He said to her

"Maybe we should have let them" Peter said

"Why were they trying to kill you anyway?" Lucy asked

"Their Telmarines that's what they do." The dwarf replied simply

"Telmarines? In Narnia?" Edmund asked

"Where've you been for the last few hundred years?" The dwarf sarcastically asked

"It's a bit of a long story" Lucy answered him

I was behind the dwarf so he hadn't noticed me yet. The dwarf watched as Susan handed Peter his sword then something clicked in his brain.

"Oh you've got to be kidding me. You're it? Your the kings and queens of old." The dwarf realized

"High king Peter the magnificent." Peter said as he extended his hand towards the dwarf

"You probably could have left off the last bit" I said making myself become known to the dwarf

"Probably" he said chuckling "Hold on a minute there are only 4 kings and queens of old whose she?" The dwarf asked

"Princess Amber" Lucy answered for me before I could answer "She's our cousin"

"You might be surprised" Peter said continuing the last conversation

"Princess?" You whispered to Lucy

She giggled quietly

"...Oh you don't want to do that boy" the dwarf said as Peter held out his sword

"Not me...him" Peter said gesturing towards Edmund

Peter handed the dwarf his sword while Edmund drew his sword. The dwarf took the sword and the tip dropped in the sand seeming too heavy for the dwarf. Edmund looked over at us with a smirk. Suddenly the dwarf picked up the sword and swung at Edmund who blocked it. Edmund ducked and got hit in the face with the hilt of the sword.

"EDMUND!" Lucy cried out worried for her brother

"Oh you alright?" The dwarf said mockingly to Edmund

The dwarf continued swinging his sword which Edmund kept blocking. The duel became more intense as Edmund was swinging at the dwarf when finally he managed to knock Peter's sword form the dwarf's grasp.

"Beards and bedsteads" the dwarf said shocked

"Maybe that horn worked after all." The dwarf finished

"What horn?" I asked curiously

"Queen Suasn's horn your majesty" the dwarf answered
