"I don't remember this way" Susan said

"That's the problem with girls can't carry a map in your heads" Peter said

"Well that's because our heads have something in them!" I said causing Susan and Lucy to break out in fits of giggles

We were lost even though Peter wouldn't admit it. After thousands of years erosion takes place meaning that the land would be different. But he wouldn't take anyone's advice. Right now we were walking through a place with big boulders with trees growing on top of them.

"I wish he would just listen to the DLF in the first place." Susan said

I snickered as I thought of our new nickname for Trumpkin.

"DLF?" Edmund asked clearly confused by our nickname

"Dear little friend" Lucy and I said in unison

The 4 of us burst out in silent laughter.

"Well that's not at all patronizing is it." Trumpkin said

"I'm not lost." Peter said

"No your just going the wrong way." Trumpkin said to Peter

"You last saw Caspian in the shuddering woods and the quickest way there is to cross at the river rush!" Peter said becoming more frustrated

"But unless I'm mistaken there's no crossing in these parts." Trumpkin told Peter

"That explains it then your mistaken" Peter angrily told Trumpkin

We had all made it to the river rush and Trumpkin was right there was no crossing unless Aslan helped us.

"See over time water erodes the earths soil causing-" Susan started

"Oh shut up" Peter told her

I rolled my eyes at Peter seeing as Susan was right.

"Is there a way down?" Peter asked

"Yeah, falling" Trumpkin answered

"Well we weren't lost" Peter told Trumpkin

"There's a ford near-" Trumpkin started because I was distracted and didn't hear the rest of what he said

I looked over and saw a mighty lion. Aslan! I thought

Lucy must have seen him too because she asked "Aslan? It's Aslan! It was Aslan over there! Don't you see he's right...there" Lucy finished

"Do you see him now?" Trumpkin asked

"I'm not crazy" Lucy told him

"She isn't I saw him too he wanted us to follow him." I said

"I'm sure there are many lions in this wood." Peter gently told us "just like that bear."

"I think we know Aslan when we see him." I said coldly

"Look I'm not about to jump off a cliff..."

Again I zoned out. I saw Aslan again and he was calling to me he said "Amber cross the river with or without you cousins come to me we have many things to talk about."

"Amber?Amber?" Peter was trying to get my attention

"yeah?"I asked as I span around quickly

"Come on" Peter said

"Ok I'll be there in just a minute, go on without me I need to check something out."

"Alright but hurry" Peter said as they all walked off

I looked over to the side of the cliff again and saw Aslan. I knew what I had to do so I walked to the edge of the cliff. The ground crumbled beneath me and I let out a gasp. But I didn't fall to my death. Amazingly there was a path leading across the river. Once I reached the other side of the river Aslan was standing before me I got down on my knees and bowed to the mighty lion.

"Rise Princess Amber."

I did as I was told.

"Aslan? If you don't mind me asking why did you want me to cross the river with or without my cousins and Trumpkin?"

"Because I need you to get to Caspian before the others."

"Why?" I asked

"Because he will need help convincing the Narnians to join with him to defeat Miraz."

"Why me though, you could have asked any of the others but you asked me"

"The reason I asked you dear one is because you have a way with people, you are kind caring and compassionate and also convincing. And most importantly you are loyal. Those traits are not found in many these days. Now you must get going if you are to reach Caspian in time, follow your instincts and you will be led to him."

"Thankyou Aslan I hope to see you soon"

"You will dear one and good luck"

And with that the great lion disappeared into thin air.
