Y/N held her breath as she heard footsteps enter the room. She tried to remain as flat as possible on the bed; afraid that even the slightest movement would get her caught. The footsteps stopped and were replaced by the sound of a chair being drawn out. Eventually the soft scratches of a pencil on paper were all Y/N could hear.
'Ok Y/N. Calm down. You're a spy.' Y/N reasoned while letting out a sigh. 'Just wait them out."
So she waited. And waited. And waited some more.
'OK, NOW THIS IS JUST GETTING RIDICULOUS!' Y/N thought as her eyebrows furrowed. The blanket had began to become hot and stuffy, and the darkness plus her thick sunglasses made it impossible to see! At this rate she would never get to look around, much less leave! To Y/N's relief, however, the scratches stopped.
"Are they...gone." Y/N thought.
She considered taking a peak outside the blanket but decided that was too risky. So like a sensible child, she did the next best thing.
...Five Mississippi's later Y/N had yeast to hear anything aside her own breathing which had become increasingly uncomfortable. The heat was becoming almost stifling.
'WHATEVER!'
Y/N threw all caution to the wind and whipped the blanket off of her! FINALLY! She could breathe! She could SEE! And what she saw very clearly was a familiar white haired boy staring right back at her.
One second turns into two seconds, and that into three. Three seconds of silence.
"T- THIEF!" Y/N nearly lept from the bed to cover Rui's mouth,the two of them tumbling to the floor in the process. Rui kicked and struggled under Y/N's weight, letting out muffled screams. "Hey, Hey. SHhHhhH! I'm not a thief! It's me." Y/N hushed as she used her free hand to remove her sunglasses. Rui paused and looked at Y/N for a moment, recognition slowly lit upon his eyes. "Don't scream." Y/N warned as she slowly lifted her hand from his mouth.
"What in the WORLD are you doing here? And in my room of all places?! Who even let you in?!" Rui whisper shouted as he shoved Y/N off him. "Nuh uh, I'm the one asking the questions!" She said as she quickly stood up and placed her sunglasses back on. "Who exactly are you!" She asked while pointing a finger straight at the sitting Rui.
With a scoff, Rui swatted Y/N's hand away and stood up. "If that's you attempt at intimidating me, you're doing a god awful job. Who wears sunglasses indoors?" He brushed off his vest and shorts before continuing. "Although I have no reason to awnser you; considering you did break into my room, I'm Rui Kabitsuji. And your an idiot" He finishes finally while poking sharp jabs at Y/N's shoulder
Y/N, who was trying her best not to pummel this arrogant brat into the ground, decided to play it safe considering the last part. "I know that much. From boy at the park to rich boy at the park." She said sarcastically while rolling her eyes. Y/N's eyes wandered around the boys bedroom; which she hadn't gotten a proper look at before. A bed sat by a wall adjacent to a closet. A study table was situated between the closet and bed with a small dresser to the right. Book shelves and trophies basically covered every free wall there was.
"Wow..." Y/N said in awe as she walked towards one of the bookshelves and picked a book off it. "These are the books you read in the park" She said turning to face him with a smile.
Rui looked at her in disbelief. He quickly snatched the book out of her hands. "Don't touch those."
Y/N turned around and picked another book off the shelf, "Don't touch those either" Rui repeated with a hint of irritation.Y/N giggled lightly. "I always see you reading, so at first I thought you were boring...but all of this" she said while twirling with her arms outstretched. "It's actually pretty cool"
Rui stared at her blankly for a moment, processing her words. A faint hint of red appeared at the tips of his ears. "I-...if you want, I can show you something cooler" He mumbled as he grabbed her arm and dragged her towards the bedroom lights. Switching them off; the room became pitch black. "Lumen" Rui stated and after a brief moment of pause the whole room became lit up with stars and constellations.
Y/N gasped and turned her head to and fro. Stars danced on the walls and ceilings. The entire room seemed to have disappeared and been replaced by a deep blue cosmo. Y/N took off her glasses and stared wide eyed. "That over there, is the Big Dipper. And that one's the North Star" Rui said as he used his free hand to point at the stars; his other still holding Y/N's. Y/N turned to him with a giant smile on her face, and a sparkle in her eyes.
Rui had never seen anything quite like it.
"You really are a big nerd, aren't you?" She giggled.
His cheeks heated .
He let go of her arm and began pushing her outside the door.
"Ow,ow,ow,ow, ow,ow,OW, OW! What the heck?!" Y/N yelped in pain as she was practically shoved out of the room. "LEAVE" Rui stated firmly as he slammed the door shut; his face redder than anything Y/N's ever seen before.
