Chapter 5

Lizzie POV:

It has been a month since Scarlett and the girls came over for dinner. Since then Scarlett and I have been hanging out almost every day and we actually had a girls night, when Scarlett's lawyer served Jost the divorce papers. The kids have become best friends since that dinner.

right now Rissa is off at the mall with Tori, Charlie and Cameron went to Riley's soccer game with Scarlett's sister in law. Charlie only went because Scarlett told her Rose was going.

so I'm left home alone and I'm currently attending to my flower garden, i'm interrupted by the doorbell echoing through the house. I walk through the house to the front door, I open it to reveal scarlett.

'Hey Scar, did we plan to have lunch together today?' I asked.

'No just stopping by to hangout with my favorite person but I could definitely go for a sandwich, why are you wearing gloves?' she asks me pointing at my gloves that i completely forgot i was wearing, before walking into the house.

'I was just gardening,' I say as I follow her through the house to the kitchen, taking off my gloves and washing my hands before leaning on the counter.

'Since when do you garden?' she asks, tilting her head. As she grabs ingredients for a sandwich from the fridge.

'I have always gardened,' I say, watching her assemble the sandwich and cut into two triangles.

'What? How have i not noticed this?' she says, following me out the back door and to the small garden. We took a seat under the willow tree where I placed a blanket earlier.

'You don't pay too much attention to your surroundings half the time and they're not that interesting. Actually that's a lie they are very interesting,' I say looking at the flowers flow in the wind as i take half of the sandwich from her hand.

'First of all that was for me and second what makes them interesting?' she asks, pouting at her missing sandwich.

'they're interesting because each one of these small mediocre plants have their own unique meaning,' i explained, as I take a bite of my sandwich

'interesting, so tell me what does this one mean,' she asks pointing to the azalea flower,

'That one is an azalea, it means may you achieve financial security,' I say.

'nice i guess, what about lilies they're the most beautiful flowers actually one of my favorites,' she asks, pointing to the lilies.

'In that case I don't think it's the best idea to tell about lilies, but did you know tulips mean perfect and deep love,' I say, trying to change the subject.

'Mhm that's beautiful, now tell me about the lilies' she says smiling at me. As we both finish our sandwiches.

'The lilies mean...the lilies mean I dare you to love me,' I say, standing to my feet and walking towards the house leaving Scarlett blushing under the tree. After a couple seconds I can hear Scarlett's feet running towards me.

'Want to go for a walk?' She asks, smiling at me.

'Um yeah sure,' I responded, smiling back. We walked out the front door and started walking down the street. We walked for a long time talking about everything and nothing at the same time.

We somehow ended up in town, and we're surrounded by shops and people. Continue walking normally trying not to bring attention to ourselves so we don't get caught by the paparazzi even though i guarantee there's probably one lurking somewhere.

As we were walking down one of the streets I noticed a small dog in the middle of the road. Cars are swerving around it when I noticed one of the cars heading straight towards the dog, without thinking I run into the road to grab it before it gets hit almost getting hit by the car myself.
