A/N: is this slow enough to be a slow burn? I doubt it but let me know what you guys think
Third person
Iris sits in Snape's classroom serving her detention.
"I hope you learn your lesson, this isn't the first time I've seen you day dreaming in my class."
Iris nods. "I have." She says softly.
"Is this the only class you daydream in?" He asks suddenly as I pack up to leave.
She thinks about it. "I think I do it in Divinations too."
Snape rolls his eyes. "You need to stop that, I can't make it seem like I'm playing favorites if I don't punish you."
Iris huffs.
"And to make matters worse, Dumbledore is making all the Professors call you by your first name." He scowls. "So you better be on your best behavior or I'm going to 'slip up' and say your last name." He threatens
Iris isn't even bothered. "And I'll tell Dumbledore who you really work for." She says calmly.
Snape's face goes red. "Just do your part and I'll do mine."
She nods. "Am I done?"
Snape nods.
Iris stands up and walks out the classroom and heads to her dorm. She knocks in the door.
"It's open Ris!" Pansy calls out.
Iris chuckles and opens the door. "I didn't want a repeat of yesterday." She notices Blaise. "Oh hey. "
Blaise smiles at her. "Hey."
Pansy laughs. "You are a work of art, how was detention?"
Iris closes the door and sits on her bed. "Boring, you know how Snape can be, he wants to act all tough but he really won't punish us Slytherin's."
They laugh.
"Or he likes you." Pansy says laughing.
"Doubtful." Iris nearly chokes.
Pansy laughs harder. "I know I was just teasing Anyway are you ready for this weekend?"
"What's happening?" Iris tilts her head to the side.
Pansy looks offended. "We're going to Hogsmeade!" She nearly shouts. "How could you forget?!"
"Oh right Hogsmeade." Iris mutters. "I didn't forget it just slipped my mind that's all."
Pansy huffs. "You need an outfit."
"Really?" Iris looks doubtful. "Do i have to dress up? Or is it just you who wants me to dress up?"
"Both." Pansy shrugs. "Your hot so why not show off?"
Iris rolls her eyes. "I'm wearing something comfortable and your not stopping me."
"Ris, please." Pansy gives her a puppy dog look. "I have someone who I want you to meet!"
"Ah," Iris says. "That's the real reason."
Pansy sighs, defeated. "Yeah."
"I'll do something but it don't be much, deal?"
"Deal." Pansy smiles.
"Now that your done with that." Blaise cuts in. "Iris cam you revise with us?"
Iris chuckles. "Yeah what are we revising?"
