Imagine
You're expecting a baby with Austin, very soon. You guys have already prepared the nursery, shopped for all kinds of clothes and toys, and you've even had a baby shower.
"Any day now..." Austin brings his arms behind you, pecking your cheek, drawing little circles on your belly. You form a small grin at him, twirling your wedding ring around your finger. You were so nervous, but he couldn't tell, you had a great way of hiding it. You couldn't wait for this baby, but then again, it was also your first child so you had no idea what to expect. He gets on his knees at eye height to your stomach and begins to talk to it, "Hey, baby, are you ready to meet your dad soon? I can't wait to see what you look like and meet you." Austin kisses you one last time before heading out to rehearsals for his next show.
You call your best friend, who's been by your side since the very beginning, to hang out with. She comes over and brings you every single food item you've been craving for the past hour and you didn't even tell her, she just knows you that well. She stares at you up and down, examining your outfit which consists of a stained gray tanktop, a pair of red and black boxers that Austin gave you, and zebra print knee-high socks. Your hair is a mess, thrown sloppily into a half bun, curly strands sticking out all over the place, not to mention the spoon hanging out of your mouth because you're eating greek yogurt. You look at her expression, one of her eyebrows are raised. "What?" You look down at yourself, seeing nothing wrong, "Is there something wrong that I'm not seeing?"
She glares at you and unparts her lips, finally to speak, "Go get on some clothes, I'm taking you out!"
She knows you've been sitting around the house lately in your pregnancy, she won't let you forget that, but you've been too tired to do anything else. You were even too tired to sleep sometimes. "But I don't wanna! It's a lot of work!" You whine, stomping your feet. You've become this adult child since your belly started swelling to this giant size. Carting yourself around the condo had become a daily job and you were too lazy to do anything. Your best friend turns you around, pushing you into your room, next, to your closet, going through all of your clothes until she found you a cute outfit to put on. She throws it at you, giving you a sharp look. "Here, put this on!"
You waddle into the closet and throw on the outfit. A baby blue signature tee and black jeans, basic, but cute. You slip on a pair of sandals as your friend gives you a smile, "You're gonna enjoy this! I just need to get you out of here for a while!"
You appreciated her, she probably knew you would be spending a lot of time in the condo after the baby is born, she was trying to make you have a little fun before the struggles of motherhood kicked into full swing. She guides you out of the door.

You arrive at one of your favorite ice crea shops down by the boardwalk close to the condo, you always come here when you just want to relax but be out at the same time. You order double fudge cheesecake swirl (one of the latest concoctions you've whipped together because of cravings) and take it to go. You and your best friend just walk down the boardwalk for what seemed like hours, stopping only to watch the sunset over the beach. You look down at your stomach, feeling the baby kick a few times, your best friend throwing her hand on your tummy and smiling at you. You like this feeling of life inside you, it's so fascinating to you. You tap on your belly two times, immediately getting tapping respnses back to you, which made your smile beam even more.
"Hey little guy," You put on your baby voice, "You ready?" You knew there wasn't going to be an answer but you could at least try. You just rest your hand on your stomach and kick back, basking in the beauty of the sun setting and the waves crashing against the sand. Waves, you start to think when a warm feeling comes over you, engulfing your entire body in it, water, you start to panic a bit. You open your eyes and look at your best friend who is just staring at you, mouth wide open. What's she staring at? OH SH--, you look down. Now you know where that warm feeling was coming from. Your water had broken. You stand there in shock, looking back and forth between your best friend and the water spot you were standing in on the boardwalk. Your thoughts are racing too much for you to finally act and do something. Your best friend grabs you, pulling back in the direction of the condo, "C'mon, we gotta get you home!"
