Shun POV

I went to the bathroom after Tosh and Dodo went down. I took the med kit out of the cabinet and take the bandage out of it. I closed back the box when I realized "how am I supposed to bandage my back?"

I heard someone coming upstairs. I peeked out of the door and saw Toshiro going to Amaya's room.

"hey Tosh.. Umm.. I have a little problem.."

"you can't do it yourself?" he asked with an "I knew it" face. He uses that face too many times and it's really annoying me.

I rolled my eyes and nod.

"Okay I'll help. Just gimme a sec."

I went back to the bathroom and sit down on the edge of the bathtub. "aw.. This shit really hurts. But she was so cute when she hugged me. Except these shits. I guess we should cut Amaya's nails"

"I'm here" Toshiro came in "lemme see those bad boys."

"why are so happy about it?" I raised my eyebrow

"Oh.. I just remembered the old memories while setting down Amaya to sleep." he smiled while checking my back. Don't ask how I saw him smiling when he was behind me.

"what kind of memories make you feel happy while treating my wounds?" I asked raising my eyebrows.

"when we were young and get into troubles" he said playfully. Great now not only Amaya but Toshiro is turned back to five years old. Why me?..
"remember when we climbed through a fence of an abandoned place and when you jumped down you scratch your back?"

"Yeah.. I still don't know why didn't we just used our wings.. But it was fun to explain to James." I giggled a little.

"Yeah. Luckily he wasn't drunk that time.." he chuckles.

"ow.." he touched one of the holes while applying some kind painkiller cream.

"sorry.." when he was done with applying the cream, he begun to bandage my back I sat there in silence, waiting for he be done and I'll can go to finally sleep.

"aaand done!" said Tosh after he tied the bandage to stay in place.

"finally" I got up and walked to our room. I lay down onto the bed. Thoughs filled my head. I close my eyes and let them ran through my brain. I sigh deeply.

"Hey.. Is everything okay? You seems to be frustrated.." he asked while taking off his shirt to change it into his pajama.

"Yeah I'm good.." I said while sitting up.

"aha.. And I have four eyes.. C'mon tell me.." he rolled his eyes.

Sigh "I was just thinking about James.. I mean.. Amaya's back and he didn't even responded.. He didn't even see the texts I sent him.."

"we've talked about this thousands times.. The life isn't on our side. But we'll handle it Shun..." he gave me a comforting smile.

I changed into my pajamas and we both went to sleep.

(a few hours later)

Shun POV

I wake up by Amaya's crying. I jumped out of the bed and immediately rushed down to check on her.

She was sweating and her eyes were wet. Poor girl is having a nightmare. I gently shake her to wake her up.

She quickly sat as fast as possible with wide open eyes and heavy breath. She looked at me and hugged me tightly. But this time she didn't ripped off my back. Yey :)

"He knows where I am! He'll come and-.. D-don't-.. Don't let him in!.. Please!.. Niisan!.." She cry out.

I froze down for a sec. I wrapped my wings around us and hugged her back. "don't worry.. I won't let him never ever touch my little Dodo again!.. I promise.. And this time I won't break my promise." I smiled at her comfortingly.

She hugged me even tighter, but my back is still on its place. I think she learnt the lesson. "go back to sleep Dodo..." I rest my hand on the side of her face. I slowly laid her down.

"stay with me.." She didn't let go of my arm.

Chuckle "Okay okay..."

I started humming an old lullaby. What our mom sang to us when we were young.

My eyelids started feeling heavier. She was already sleeping. I carefully laid down next to her and covered us with my wings. I continue singing that lullaby until I fall asleep.
