Visenya

The next day was the day Viserys was choosing his new wife. Rhaenys and Corlys gave the offer of marriage between him and their only daughter, my niece, Laena. It would be weird since the girl is only two-and-ten, but nonetheless it is a good proposal.

Rhaenyra and I walked up to the balcony where Rhaenys was sat. I sat next to my sister while Rhaenyra passed around looking into the view where Viserys and Laena where at.

"It bothers you, doesn't it not?" Asked Rhaenys. "Rhae." I warned. "My father is the king. It is his duty to take a new wife and strengthen his line." Rhaenyra responded Rhaenys question.

"I did not ask for a lesson in politics. I ask whether this bothers you." Rhaenys asked again. "Laena is your daughter, Princess. Does it bother you?" Rhaenyra bit back.

"Of course it does. But I understand the order of things. I'm not sure you do." Rhaenys said.

"If you mean to elicit some anger from me, you should know that you're falling, princess." Rhaenyra looked away, looking at her father.

"Okay, both of you stop this now." I ordered getting tired of their little dispute. "Whether it's to my daughter or to someone else's, your father will remarry sooner than later. His new wife will produce new heirs, and chances are better than not that one of them will be male. And when the boy comes of age, and your father has passed, the men of the realm will expect him to be heir, not you. Because that is the order of things."

We all knew Rhaenys spoke the truth."Rhaenys, quit it." I order once again. "When I'm Queen, I will create a new order." Rhaenyra ignored my claim for this discussion to stop.

"How I wish that could be, Rhaenyra. But the men of the realm already had their opportunity to appoint a ruling Queen at the Great Council and they denied it." Rhaenys also ignored my claim.

"They denied you, Princess Rhaenys. 'The Queen who never was' But they bent the knee to me."

"Okay that's enough!" I stood up walking away. They really wanted to start a fight over the stupid throne. Pathetic.

"It occurred in the blackness of night, my lords, during the Hour of the Bat. The thief eluded our pursuit." The dragon keeper informed.

"How is it possible that a dragons egg was stolen out beneath more than fifty Dragonkeepers?" Viserys asked.

"It was Prince Daemon who was the culprit, Your Grace.."
