A lot has happened in the past year. I am 8 moons pregnant and I feel like I could give birth to a dragon at any moment. Vorian has been excited ever since he figured out he was going to be a father. He only leaves my side to attend some business, but after that he's always by my side making sure I am comfortable.

A few months earlier

"You are with child, Princess" the healers informed me. A year had passed since the wedding and now I have the new of me being a mother. I have mixed emotions about this, like what if I die giving birth like Aemma? I would live to be a mother, but the image of Aemma being cut open haunts me.

"Congratulations!" Dyanna spoke excitedly. She has been my best friend here in Dorne. We're practically attached to the hip.

"Thank you." I hugged Dyanna who was practically jumping at the thought of having a niece or nephew. "The family is going to be so excited!" Dyanna spoke excitedly.

"I will tell Vorian tonight and tomorrow morning we'll tell your parents." I spoke up brushing a tear away. "Leave us." Dyanna spoke to the healers and maids.

Once they were out Dyanna spoke up. "What's the matter? Do you not want a babe?" The girl questioned. "I do it's just. . . A while ago I lost a special person died giving birth to a babe. And it happened because the husband was to selfish and wanted a boy that he gave the order to save the babe instead of his wife. And it all happened in front of me. I saw the light leave her eyes. A few days before she gave birth she told us that royals like us have royal wombs and childbed is our battlefield."

I softly cried. "That won't happen, I promise. I will be with you, and I'm sure Vorian would never allow that." Dyanna softly spoke hugging me.

After the conversation we had diner and then we all went to bed. Undoing my hair I gathered up all the courage to tell Vorian the news.

"Husband?" I spoke up. He hummed in response still reading his book. "I am with child." I spoke fast. I saw from the mirror that Vorian tensed at the words.

I didn't know what to do. What was he thinking? Did he not like the news? A lot of questions were raising in my head I didn't notice Vorian walk towards me.

I turned around slowly meeting his eyes. He leaned in and kissed me, I kissed him back immediately. He pulled away and smiled. "That is the most amazing news in my entire life." My husband did something that I never thought I would see. He cried, he got on his knees and put his face on my stomach and cried.

I let him cry as long as he needed and when we was finally done he looked at me and kissed me again. "I promise to be by your side forever." Vorian whispered.
