Yellow eyes met pink as V watched Lizzy wake up. Nestled in V's limbs, Lizzy stretched out as her systems activated. "Oh, hey babe", V heard her say.

"Liz".

"Girl, how long were you waiting this time?", Lizzy asked.

V shrugged, "twenty minutes, I guess".

"Well, you fell asleep before I did anyway", Lizzy pointed out.

"Works out".

"Yeah".

"Liz".

Lizzy swung an arm over V, "what's up?".

"This weekend. We're so overdue for more us time", V pointed out.

Lizzy snorted, "what? You think we can let the dorks babysit again?".

"Or your brother", V's brows raised.

"And let Chloe grow up into a meathead like him? Ugh", Lizzy moaned.

"...Or your dad", V pointed out, a knowing look on her face.

Lizzy grimaced, "babe, you know he's just gonna leave her in the cradle and forget about her".

"Liz, I need to ask".

"What?", Lizzy spat.

Deciding to take the risk, V commented, "you act like how Uzi acts towards her old man. It's almost like they're the same dude, but I know that's wrong".

"V!", Lizzy fumed, "never compare me to her!".

V shrugged, "I mean, you two both have dads. That's kind of a rarity in my books".

"Oh my gosh V", Lizzy sulked.

V rolled her eyes, "do you want a weekend to us or not? We need to go with someone ".

"Ugh", Lizzy groaned, "fine. I'll ask my dad to do it".

"Splendid", V smirked, "then tell him he can't neglect Chloe again or I'll pay him a visit". V's hand swapped out her claws, the yellow drone flexing them to show them off.

Lizzy sighed as she untangled herself from the mess of their limbs. Now unimpeded by V's body, she stretched out again, a groan escaping her vocal device. "Alright, guess I'm gonna get ready for work then", she said.

"You should dock the grades of those little shitheads down the hall", V said, "teach 'em a lesson Mrs. Data Entry".

"Ugh, I do so much more than just that", Lizzy moaned, "just because I work at the school but I don't teach doesn't mean I'm not, like, important or whatever!".

V remained still, "dock their grades".

"Girl, can't you let it go or something? Talk to their parents or something, jeez", Lizzy's arms folded.

"Liz, you really think they're gonna listen to me?", V spat, "they're bound to be shits like their kids. They'll open the door on me and scream bloody murder".

Lizzy shrugged, "show them that you have a kid yourself? They're buggin' me too, so tell them they're pissing off a whole family". V grumbled, Lizzy adding, "I'm still gonna talk to my dad today, babe. This weekend's gonna be fun~".

V's expression slowly softened, a small smile appearing, "yeah. Thanks".

The walk over to the school sector was the same as usual, crowded hallways full of adolescents and the adult staff all walking into the same place. Groups of friends all blocking the flow of the crowd talking and laughing with each other. Jocks, nerds, preps, goths, the whole ecosystem was on display.
