Cecilla's POV:
I stepped into my room and I immediately paused. Something feels different about it. It feels tense and still like someone is watching me. My eyes narrowed before I went to my desk and sat on my chair.
Ever since 'C' unlocked my magic abilities, I've been able to feel like the mana signature of certain objects. Like the Infinite ink pen and my Infinite page book.
'I've been gone for about 3 hours. Someone could have easily come into my room and tampered with something.'
I felt that something was different but I don't know what and I can't open the status window, it's too risky. Whatever is in my room could be a spy camera or a voice recorder. The technology here may be lacking but magic makes up for it.
Suspiciously, Rose has also not arrived yet. She probably has something to do with this or maybe it's the Head Maid. Everyone in this house is under my father's control.
I glanced at my calendar and saw that my tutor with be here in a week. I had completely forgotten about my Queen-in-Training lessons. I need to get a new tutor too, cause my current one is not doing her job well. For now, I should practice my calligraphy and make it seem like I haven't noticed anything.
I picked up my pen and started practicing, every word flowed into each other. My handwriting was not bad but I did have the typical Doctor's handwriting. Anyone from this world would faint if they saw this.
Just as I picked up another page, my bedroom door banged open and Rose stumbled through. Her cheeks were flushed and her uniform was put on in a hurry. What on Earth had this girl been doing?
Rose looked up and was visibly shocked to see me sitting at my desk. As if she thought that I wouldn't be here. She started stuttering excuses but I wasn't listening. But I was curious as to why she just came into my room without authorization.
I looked at the vase of flowers in her hands. A vase full of Red roses. How boring.
"Oh, who are the roses from?" I cut Rose off from her rambling while smiling and looking at the roses.
Rose looked down at the base before she looked back up at me nervously.
"Oh...Um..La-I mean your fiance...." Rose said quickly as she tried to hide her slip-up.
'Lies. Aaron has never sent me flowers before. Does she think I'm stupid?'
I remember in my first life here. I had believed that the flowers were from Aaron. But I never noticed that the flowers never wilted or needed water. They were always fine. But after I had received the flowers, things started to go wrong. People started to know my darkest secrets. I had never figured out how everyone knew those private things about me. But I suspect those flowers are a spying device, probably from Elizabeth. Rose's slip-up confirms this theory.
But I have to keep up this act for as long as possible. I stood up from my desk and slowly walked towards her.
"Oh my my, how thoughtful of him. Make sure to send a letter saying I appreciate it." I took the vase from her hands and set it on my dressing table.
I turned around to see Rose still standing behind me looking nervously.
"Is something the matter, why are you still here?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Um...yes sorry...I'll leave now." Rose looked relieved when she was dismissed.
I glanced back at the roses sitting on my dressing table. I could sense the mana that was being emitted off of it. Definitely a spying device.
