-Harry's POV-
-2014-
"Niall, listen, I don't want to do it!" I said over the phone. I loved Niall to death but I was so tired of him trying to set me up with people. "Harry, you said you wanted to write a book about real love! You're never going to know what real love feels like if you don't try to find it!"
I sighed, he was right. I wouldn't find out what love was like unless I was in love myself. "Fine, I'll do it! But you know the guys you put me with never work out. I mean, there was Lewis, Jack, and then of course, Nick and Mark and then Connor. Connor was straight!"
"Yeah, but this new guy isn't straight, I swear!" I groaned. "Look, you need to find someone to love, Haz. I mean, you won't ever get that book done!"
"Niall, it's not just about the book. I'm tired of being alone and lonely! Everyone seems so happy with someone else, and they all have someone to share their lives with and I have no one. I'm tired of always being the third wheel around people. I just...I want to feel cared for."
I heard him sigh over the phone, "Well, first off Harry, I'm single and I'm not lonely, thank you very much. And the only way for you to do that is by finding someone."
I knew he was right but It was too hard to find someone to date. And what if I do fall in love with someone and he hurts me and leaves me? I'm scared of that. It's my biggest fear. But that might not happen and if I don't try to fall in love I never will.
I want to be in love. I want to have someone to call my own. I want to belong to someone. I want that more than anything. I want to be in love and I want to write about those feelings so others can experience it.
I want it to be the most realistic version of love possible. I don't want it to be some stupid fictional love story. I want it to be a book about real love. My love. I want to include all the stupid fantasies and all of the details about it.
Every kiss. Every fight. Every laugh we share. Every time we make love. Every late night we have. Every time we break up. Every time we get back together. Every song he shows me. Every deep conversation. Every movie we watch. Every single "I love you". Everything.
I want people to really understand the feeling. I want to be able to understand the feeling.
"Okay, but I can find love with someone that's not one of the guys you met at a pub." He scoffed. "I didn't even meet this one at a pub!" I sighed and let out a little laugh.
"Just give him a chance! I really think you're going to like this one. If you don't like him, I'll never set you up with anyone again. I promise." I thought about it.
"Well, you haven't even given me a description of this dude." I replied.
"Okay, you want a description, I'll give you a description. His name's Louis Tomlinson. He's a college student studying Drama and he's in one of my classes, he's two years older than you um...he's got brown feathery hair and really nice blue eyes, oh, and he's a bit shorter than you." My eyebrows raised at his description.
Didn't sound too bad. I liked Drama, and I loved blue eyes. "Okay, doesn't sound as bad as some of the guys you've given me. But I'm gonna need a personality."
"Okay, he's sarcastic and sassy as fuck, he's also very loud which is a bit obnoxious and he's quite funny."
I thought about this boy for a minute. He didn't seem too bad, but half the time Nialls' descriptions of boys he thinks I'll like aren't the best. "Okay, I'll go on a date with him or something. Meet him at least." I could tell Niall was smiling through the phone. "Great, we can meet up this Saturday for some coffee or something and I can introduce you two."
