Chapter 20

Edward sat on a desk and everyone followed taking their seats and Tyler pulled a chair for me making me sit, it was a very sweet gesture of him.

"So before we start there are some basics you need to know" Edward started

"Okay" I said looking at Tyler and he smiled. His presence brought relief to me.

"So, there are few rules and basics you need to know, first important rule that we all follow here, what happens here stay here, understood?" he said and I nodded "second thing no humans are allowed to know about the existence of vampires or werewolves or even casters" he said

"What happens if someone says?" I asked

"If a vampire breaks the rule and tell anyone, then the casters get to ask for whatever, whoever they want" he replied "and same rule applies on them, if they tell anyone we exist or they exist then we get to take or ask for anything we want" he said

"And how will they know we said? Or how will we know they said?" I asked

"It's a law and there is a spell, its kind of a vow thing if broken you get to know. The sky gets darker and lightning bolt strikes a magic tree, it's a long story you will learn about it later on when you start studying and stuff" he said and Alison got up and got a book from one of the shelves

"But Amy knows?" I said looking at her

"Because of Amy this law was made" Tobais said

"So basically Amy is the only human who knows?" I asked

"Yes" Edward replied

"Fine what else" I asked

"Going to the diet part" he said "Vampires survive on blood, human blood and even animals" he said

"Humans, so you kill?" I asked my eyes wide and I could hear Tyler chuckling next to me

"No, they survive on dead human blood" he replied

"So you kill dead people?" I said so fast and everyone laughed

"You can't kill a dead person Ashley" Tyler said

"I know it just came out that way" I said and he smiled

"Do you know why plants grow around graves?" Edward asked

"Cause people plant them?" I replied

"Well they think they do but that isn't really the reason" he said and I was so confused "there is this spray Tobais created, we spray it on all the graves, when a person dies it takes the spoiled blood and purifies it and converts it into nectar in a flower shape, if the flower is plucked within a week we get 15 cups of blood and if the flower is plucked after a year we get 41 us cups of blood nectar" he said

"Vampires harvest the blood of dead people" I hissed not believing what I just heard that was crazy

"You can say something like that" Edward said

"So it's a vampire plant?" I asked

"Something like that" he said

"But how do you get to do this? I mean all around the world, collecting blood and all, must be a hard job and maybe impossible, what happens if you are out of human blood?" I asked "You kill living humans?" I added

"If we are out of human blood we hunt" Tyler said "Animals" he added fast seeing the look on my face which brought a smirk on his face

"We were never out of blood anyways because we have vampire and werewolf friends all over the world so they keep up with their jobs and send us flowers and we live" Tobais said

"Wow" I said taking a deep breath

"Vampires can go two weeks without blood, but on the third week if they don't drink blood, their eyes start turning red and they hunt anything they find, they might as well lose control on their own mates" Edward said

"But that never happened, not in the last thousand years" Tyler said with a smile

"What about normal food?" I asked

"You can eat normal food, but it won't have any taste for you it would just burn up inside your body and it would be tasteless and doesn't affect you, like alcohol. Vampires can't get drunk" Edward said with a smirk

"So no matter how much I drink it is of no use" I said and he nodded

"That's the vampire basics, now going to casters rules" he said "there are four types of casters, the Royals and they are they heads and rulers of all the other casters, they are like the government or the president or the royal family, and there are three families. Richard and he is the top most and most powerful Royal and then comes Jenny and her small brother Blake, you met him that day" Edward said

"That is Two families, who is the third?" I asked

"The third family is currently out, just for time being" he said

"Out? How? why?" I asked

"It's Cierra's family, she left Royalty for a while" Tyler said

"But why?" I asked

"And that brings us to the second part of casters, the Marines" he said "The Marines are the Royalty's second hand, the Royalty can't do anything without discussing it with the Marines, the Marine has a lot of families under it. However Cierra went from Royal to Marine for her boyfriend Alex, he is a Marine. A Royal female caster cannot be with any male other than Royal and if she wants to be with any other category she needs to leave the Royalty that is their most absolute law and Cierra left for Alex" he said and I sighed "after that we go to the third part and those are the Followers, the Followers are basically the soldiers, they are the army. They do whatever the Royals or the Marines ask them to do, they just follow orders without thinking it through" he said

"Just like bunch of robots" I said and they laughed

"Yeah" Tyler said

"Then comes the last part. that is the Dark, The dark are the kicked out abandoned casters that violated the rules and use dark magic, they don't even exist anymore, Richard killed almost everyone I doubt any of them still exist. They are the most dangerous category among the four, they don't need wands like the others, they can control everything by their eyes or hands, the whole world lies in their finger tip, they can kill without spilling a drop of blood or leaving any evidence they kill you inside out" Edward said and I felt shiver through my spine this was so scary

"Serina was Dark, but she was a good Dark" Tyler said holding my hand

"Okay I got it, Royal, Marine, Followers and Dark" I said

"And the rules" he asked

"What happens here stays here, no human should know" I said

"And food?" he asked

"Nectar from the flower or animal blood and food is useless it burns inside our system" I said and he smiled

"She is a quick learner" he said and Tyler smiled

"I guess that is enough for today she needs rest" Tyler said after a while

"I think the same" Alison said

"Anyway the library is here, if you need anything just come here and read anytime, it will help you a lot" Edward said

"Good night guys" I said as Tyler and I walked out of that library heading up to his room, I was really tired much information and practice in one day.it was hell of a day.
